Nina | 1384 comments I have an intention to write more reviews. I read prolifically last year but just couldn't manage to review. Not sure what was going on mentally- perhaps a need to withdraw and regroup.

I'll start my list with the last few books I read in 2022:

Quarantine Highway by Millicent Borges Accardi
The Blessing by Richard Jones
No. Hope St by Kelley White
Only As The Day Is Long by Dorianne Laux

And just now starting Balladz by Sharon Olds

Balladz is an interesting title. It's good to know that you are still a power poetry reader even if you're not getting to reviews here. Sometimes we just need to unplug.

I'll star..."
I'd love to know what you think of Balladz.

That's pretty much my case, too, Jen.

J.S. Watts | 506 comments I've probably read fewer poems by Sharon Olds than you collectively have, but over all I really enjoyed Stag's Leap: Poems, One Secret Thing and her Selected poems.

Ujjvala (Vaiju) Bagal - Rahn | 6 comments I have read even fewer of Sharon Olds' poems - but I quite liked her Odes. In fact I used them as models for my own odes,

I might like her odes. I just get weary of all her parent-bashing poems.

Ruth | 173 comments I read a lot of Sharon Olds when I a just atarfing to study poetry. Liddy’s Orange is one of my all time favorites.

Nina | 1384 comments working on my review- if you are not familiar with Olds, read her earlier work, don't choose this as an intro
