Here we can discuss the ending of the book. I personally think it was awful. I cried so hard when Enzo died. Funny story. I was working at my Grandma's house when he died and i started crying and she was trying to find out what was wrong. (btw i was listening to the audiobook)

It's weird but Raffaele was one of my favourite characters in the book, hands down. I don't think they were really pretending, at least not all the time, but to be honest if you knew someone had really dangerous magic powers and could kill you on a whim, and then suddenly have someone tell you to make friends with them, wouldn't you at least have some reservations? Because I know I would.

Even if Raffaele was faking it, which is possible due to his personality, I highly doubt Gemma was. She seemed legitimately nice, and seeing that her alignment is "joy", I don't think she faked their friendship.

Also, Marie Lu says Maeve will make an appearance in the second book! ;)
