I read this quickly and think my students would, too. It is enjoyable and cute, but I agree with a lot of others who have read and reviewed it: you don't get much more than the packaged "nice girl" version of her. What does she do for fun? When does she get angry? You won't read about any of that. You will read about what makes her sad and how kindness trumps all in the pursuit of popularity. Yes, it will make for a great Disney movie (no, I'm not being sarcastic).
