Scorch walked around the island slowly and found a spot by the shore that he would take Ella too. He found pretty flowers to line a make shift nest as he stressed about his fur. Scorch purred in satisfaction when he finished and ran back to the center of the island to wait.

Ella gently placed her paw on the log(?) before walking across it. Ok, now the next step would be finding the other cat. "Scorch? You here?" She called and looked at her surroundings with wide eyes. She had never really bothered wandering any father than the forest until today.

"I'm here!"Scorch called out from the center of the island. He let out a sigh of relief ad he heard her voice.

Oh, the middle. Should've thought of that before, fluff-brain... Ella followed the voice and purred when she saw him. "Am I late? I've been arguing with myself while I was coming here..."

"No of course not."Scorch purred softly at her and licked her cheek gently."So I have something to show you."he said softly embarrased.

Ella rubbed up against him. "When do I get to see it?" She asked, tipped her head slightly.

"Close your eyes and hold on to my tail."Scorch purred softly and licked her ear.

Ella rolled her eyes before closing them. She lightly held onto his tail.

Scorch led her carefully to the spot he prepared."Okay now open them."Scorch said nervously looking at his paws slightly scared.

Ella opened her eyes and gasped. "It's beautiful!" She purred. "You made this all by yourself?"

Scorch nodded slowly."I know its not that great but.. I could never make anything that could compare to your inner and outer beauty."he walked over to the lake slowly.

"Oh, I bet you could," Birdsong mewed as she followed him. "Anything could look a thousand times better than me,"

"You should not be so down on yourself."Scorch looked at her dead in the eyes." You have inner beauty and that is what counts. Look at me.. I am a major fluff ball with scary eyes."He answered amusingly." I am horrible on the inside and funny looking on the outside. You are beautiful inside and outside."Scorch told her gently and nuzzled her cheek." I just hope one day.. You might be able to see how you look through my eyes." he stuttered slightly.

"Major fluff ball..." Ella chuckled slightly. "I don't see anything scary or horrible in you. I may not know you very well, but I can tell that you are a complete sweetheart. All I can see in me is a weak fluffy ball of white fur who is a burden to other cats... She has no past, and no future..."

"You might be a fluffball but all I see in you in love."Scorch walkee toward the shore looking at his reflection." I also feel like I have no future.. That I will never have kits and a mate."he replied softly slapping at his reflection

"Any she-cat would have to completely stupid to not want to be your mate," Ella sat down next to him and laid her head on his shoulder.

"Would you like a fish..?"Scorch asked her gently looking into her eyes again.

"I'd love one," Ella purred softly. "Fresh fish is always the best kind of fish," She licked her lips.

Scorch purred and stalked aroind the water edge. He carefully hit his paw in and hooked his claws in a trout. He proudly brought his catch back to Ella.

"Share?" Ella tipped her head slightly.

"If you'd like."Scorch replied after setting his prey down on the ground. He licked her cheek gently.

Ella looked done at her paws and felt her ears burn. She nodded a little before looking up again. Could he...? No, he's much smarter than that. He only thinks of you as a friend.

"I'd just like to say Ella. I have a crush on you."Scorch blushed looking down at his paws quickly.

Ella's jaw dropped and her eyes were as wide as an owls. "You like me? Are you serious?" She murmured.

"I am dead serious."Scorch looked into her eyes again and smiled at her.

Ella grinned and rubbed up against him. "I hope this isn't another dream..." She mewed, mostly to herself.

"I am no dream. I just hope you will let me help you and protect you."Scorch nuzzled her gently closing his eyes.

"Question: How does one do that when a cat always follows her belly to the closest garbage bin, swims for something to eat, and will sleep where she collapses." Ella tipped her head.

((I'm so tempted to call her Bird instead of Ella... I have no right to call her that until her father finds her.))

"Stay in my nest with me. I will help you hunt."Scorch told her gently looking into her eyes

"You'd really let me stay with you?" Ella mewed with a little squeak. Am I finally having a lucky day or something?

"Of course!"Scorch nodded and pressed his muzzle against hers gently

"Thank you so much," Ella sighed happily. "You're seriously too kind. I don't know how on Earth you think of yourself as horrible... You give me things that I don't even deserve,"

"You deserve to be safe.."Scorch responded gently looking into her eyes."and if you let me. I will keep you safe and healthy."he responded easily

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Ella smiled, then she picked up the fish. "Oh no, don't forget me!" said 'the fish' in a higher pitched voice.

Scorch laughed and looked into her eyes gently." How could we forget you." he chuckled gently and stretched.

Rain padded onto the Island and looked around her eyes bright

Newt raced onto the island, a fox was chasing after him, nipping at his tail.

Rain looked up and saw a extremely handsome Tom being chased by a Fox "oh no you don't!" She hissed in leaped onto the Fox and broke it's neck swiftly and gracefully jumped off

Before the she-cat had killed the fox, the fox bit Newts tail, " Ouch!" Newt yowled and he skidded to a halt and saw the most gorgeous she-cat ever, he watched as she killed the fox.

Rain growled and kicked the Fox hissing in fury she then turned to the tom,"hello,I'm Rain." She smiled

Newt was licking his bloody tail, " Hello I'm Newt," Newt said in between licks.

Rain smiled "it is very nice to meet you!" She purred "no cat has been very nice to me..." She sighed

Newt contiued to lick his tail,

Rain watched Him "do you want me to patch it up?" She asked seeing it was bleeding

Ella purred. "Never forget a fish. You never know if it'll turn in a dangerous dead fish...or something like that..." She giggled.

"Well we can't have that now could we."Scorch purred out a laugh as he looked at her beautiful face.

"Definitely not," Ella buried herself into his pelt and touch her nose to his cheek.
