personally, i love them, and if someone asked me who i have high expectations enemies to lovers is why.

i love it but i have really high expectations for this trope. i feel like most things labeled "enemies to lovers" isn't really enemies to lovers and that annoys me a lot. but i think its really hard to do really well, because if there's no reason to be enemies its not enemies to lovers its stupid lol but if there's too much of a reason then i can't come around to the lovers arc

I absolutely LOVE enemies to lovers, but I think the market has been flooded with this trope because of tiktok. So most of the time, when I see a new "enemies to lovers" book recommended on my feed, I'm really sceptical about it.

I love it if it’s done correctly-if it’s pretty much insta love or they hate each other for no actual, good, reason then it’s really meh

also it should be a rule that enemies to lovers must be SLOWBURN

i hate it in normal romance cuz most of the time its not enemies to lovers more like dislike to lovers. save this trope for fantasy books where its like “i murdered your whole family” or “i destroyed your kingdom” or “our species are suppose to hate each other” to lovers

I LOVE ITT ITS A CLASSIC TROPE THAT WILL ALWAYS HIT. with that being said, it’s not my #1 trope and I think it’s a bit overrated but not in a bad way!

it can be like super weird especially if they “hate f*ck” then that’s icky to me. but i like it if it’s written well like i liked better than the movies

yes unless they make it like enemies to friends to lovers.
