"
Yeah probably, also I think I've seen this before ...."
I may well have posted it before. But I was too pressed for time to read all the previous posts...

Living in a small town I realized we are very trusting of people. A month ago I had someone from the cable tv and internet company show up unexpectedly at the door saying he wanted to change out something on our internet box. So I said sure and let him in. He was very chatty and just talked for maybe 15 minutes. When he left he went out the back door and walked across the yard and I started to question my intelligence because I didn't see a truck. When he got to the road the truck was on the road and parked behind a tree, which was why I didn't see it and it was indeed a cable company truck but it made me realize I had let a stranger in my house without questioning it. I still wonder why he parked on the road instead of the driveway as we live in the country and actually have a short lane, not an actual driveway and a big 3 acre yard.

My girlfriend keeps asking why I don't give her a spare set of keys to my apartment, the answer is "Because you don't lock your doors and I live in NYC!"

Last week I took the dog for a walk and the guy that rents our little field stopped to pay the rent and left a note to call him. I probably only missed him by a few minutes. When I called him back he said "Don't you lock your doors when you're gone?" Geez, I was only a few blocks away. Life in a small town.By the way, he's 85 and one of the richest men in the county so I'm pretty sure he didn't take anything!

Or a congressman who isn't concerned about taking money from the NRA.

Where O where are these elusive heroes?

Reminds me of the defendant who, when the judge, after instructing the jury about deliberations asks, "Any questions?"
Defendant raises his hand asks "If I'm found innocent do I get to keep the stuff I took?"

That sort of criminal mastermindery fills me with admiration.
