Janice (jamasc) | 60333 comments Before I go any further, what book are you currently reading? If you are reading more that one book, pick the one that intrigues you the most. Post what you are reading, and then come back to this description for further instructions.

General Rules:

1. The book may be in any format - paperback, ebook, audiobook.
2. The book may be combined with the Year Long Challenge and the Group Themed Read.
3. The book must be read between February 1 - February 28, 2023 (based on your local time zone).
4. The challenge is for one book. You may read more books if you chose but you may only report one.
5. The book must be 175 pages or more determined by the issue you read.

In the case of ebooks & audiobooks, use the hardcover or paperback edition to determine page length. From the book page, select “all editions”, then select the first paper edition as your guide. If reading an ebook and there is no paper edition, the ebook book must be at least 250 pages. If reading an audiobook and there is no paper edition, your book must be a minimum of 6 hours long.

As I plan on reading the following books in the series right afterwards, this challenge suits me very well. ;)

I'm reading this book for the Book Riot's Read Harder challenge. Another book I am planning on reading for that challenge is Taaqtumi: An Anthology of Arctic Horror Stories, and I think I will read that anthology for this monthly read

Options for the next book could be:

Triple Chocolate Cheesecake Murder (next in the series)

Any book published in 2020 (same year as the book I'm reading)

A book with a character/author named Hannah (the name of the main character in the book I'm reading) such as Hannah's War or Kristin Hannah.

A book written by an author with the initials JF (same as the book I'm reading) such as Jasper Fforde, Joseph Fink, Joanne Fluke, or any others I happen to have on my TBR.

Update: great challenge and so many options! I could read a book set on an island or in the tropics, related to travel, have “wine” or “sunset” in the title, published in 2014, MC teacher or volunteer, etc. the challenge will be landing on one…

Both are the right side of a woman's face, and both are situated on the left side of the cover.

Perfect! I have The Winners by the same author currently on hold from the library with an approximate wait time of 2 weeks. Unless it takes a lot longer, I'll go with that.

Kristie | 19463 comments I think I may go with Sudden Death. I had Finlay Donovan & Sudden Death both listed for the same task for the yearly challenge (MPG humor). Since I just finished Finlay for that task, I will read Sudden Death for this challenge. They have several overlapping genres and themes. Also, Sudden Death fits the toppler so there's an added bonus. :)
