I'm reading Matched right now. I've been reading it for a few months (the almost nonchalant way the narrator talks makes it hard for me to get really attached to the book) and I'm a little more than half way through! I love the dystopian world the author created:)
I think my sister read Matched! Years and years ago. I'm crazy busy in school rn but I'm trying to read Rook Di Goo
Cool! Did she like it?Aw I'm sorry; good luck with all of your work:)
A sci-fi! Sounds good- how far through are you?
Haha- I thought the symbolism and the themes were enjoyable, but the plot was pretty slow, and I didn't fall in love with any of the characters.

I just started Fawkes by Nadine Brandes. Not sure I'm going to read the whole thing because my last Brandes experience was NOT great, but that's okay XD
You’ll have to review it! (If you finish that is. It’s near impossible for me to dnf a book unless it’s content is obviously wrong)I’ve heard great things about Fawkes from many people and it’s on my tbr.
What other book by her have you read?
@Lilly Haha, I have a LOT of books I haven't finished- I plan to, someday, but I haven't gotten to them yet XD
Just finished Eve in Exile and the Restoration of Femininity by Rebekah Merkle! It's a really good read, although I think it would really offend some people XD
Kacie wrote: "I'm reading Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson"Brandon Sanderson, yes! I've still got to read his books!
Denali wrote: "Just finished Eve in Exile and the Restoration of Femininity by Rebekah Merkle! It's a really good read, although I think it would really offend some people XD"I'm glad you enjoyed it! Interesting- what about it was controversial?
Lilly wrote: "I’m reading “Lady Dragon, Tela Du”"That's a cool title! How are you liking Lady Dragon, Tela Du?
Cari wrote: "I'm reading The Age of Innocence, the House of Mirth, and the Great Gatsby!"The Great Gatsby's been on my to-read for a while! How far through are you?
@Catherine, it's a sci Fi novel about a space war with aliens. the humans have special powers...there's mentalists and defenders. it's pretty good...this is the third in the series. I am getting really tired of all the sarcasm tho lol. and the overabundance of life threatening situations. but it's fun
Sci-fi! I love that genre. Sounds like a good book! Sarcasm 😂 Thankfully, I haven't read a book with too much sarcasm in it. Ah, I can see how too many life threatening situations can get tiring XD
I’m about to finish reading To Dwell Among Cedars which is biblical fiction about when the Ark of the covenant was taken by the philistines and once I finish that book I don’t know what I’ll read next yet.
I'm in a little bit of a reading slump- I haven't picked up a book in more than a week, but I'm working my way through Proverbs.
Catherine wrote: "That's really cool, Ana! I need to get more into Christian/Biblical fiction. How did you like it?"I really loved it! It’s a two part series and both books were 5 stars for me :)
Proverbs, Fully Human ( a Bible study workbook), Horns and Wrinkles (almost finished), Catching Fire and just started Murder at the Merton Library.
Yay, you're reading Proverbs! How are you liking it?Catching Fire is amazing! What do you think of The Hunger Games?
Nice, Asha! Are you Team Peeta or Team Gale? How do you like Wuthering Heights? I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about it:))
Ooh I loved Catching Fire! It was my favorite book in the series! How are you guys liking the book/series so far?
Team Gale quite naturally although it’s not a great book so far. The plot feels tacked on to the first book. Wuthering Heights is good so far. I’ll let you know later when I’ve read more.
I love Wuthering Heights! I'm currently reading On the Edge of the Sea of Darkness by Andrew Petersen. It's an enjoyable read so far :)
@Ana Out of the Hunger Games trilogy, I liked the first book the best. Have you read Mockingjay yet?
@Asha I'm Team Peeta:) How so? I loved Catching Fire:)I'm glad you're liking Wuthering Heights! How far through are you?
@Who Is Emma What's On the Edge of the Sea of Darkness about? I feel like I've heard about it, but I can't recall what it's about.
I’m about 20% through Wuthering Heights, it’s very well written. I finished Catching Fire and quite frankly I was wrong. Better book than I was expecting. 😂
