I have to take a break from this one it’s going to be a crazy few weeks. Hopefully I’ll be ready to go for the next one.
I would have said 2 weeks, but I think 3 weeks could work, maybe if it's too much time, we can change it next time
I've started reading it today.I liked the prologue, but then I was confused by chapter 1 (meaning I couldn't figure out what this book was going to be about), and now I've just finished chapter 2 and I'm getting all excited! This book is about to kick off! 😁
Ok, so I've just finished reading chapter 8. I feel like this book is a different kind of romance than what we're used to reading here. It's not funny or sarcastic; it feels a bit heavier (as there are kids involved). And it's a slow burner (in my experience it's usually a good thing).
In other words, I don't think that everyone is going to love it, though I have a feeling that I will.
I'm not sure why the baby club is such a huge part of the story - I hope there's some sort of purpose to it that will become apparent later on..? Because at the moment it doesn't feel that relevant.
What did you guys think so far?
I just finished my chapters. At the beginning I had some mixed feelings about this one and I might still have if the pre-natal classes keep being described. I read to escape my daily life, not to relive it or scare the crap out of me about giving birth (Sorry I've been holding out on you).
I agree with Lena that this might be a bit different from what we're used to reading, but I've got to say that I quite like it. I like the deeper layer of their relationship that needs to be re-explored.
I really want to find out what happened to Max's memory. I think that story in itself might reveal some more insight into what happened in those five years he lost. Maybe even in the relationship between Ellie and himself.
I’m so glad this book picked up at chapter 3. Before that I was bored. I can’t even imagine how stressful amnesia would be. Looking forward to finding out what traumatic event happened. Wondering if Owen knows something Ellie doesn’t 🤔
Just finished the next set of chapters….the plot thickens. Owen definitely knows something and I think she’s catching on. I’m glad they got to the hand holding stage of reconnecting but wow memory loss is such a major think. Must feel like your entire world is flipped upside down. This book is pretty good! It’s creating some suspense which is nice for a change.
Yeah, I have similar thoughts. I'm enjoying the book - I felt so sorry for Ellie when they went for their first 'date'. I can't even start to imagine being in a similar situation! And with a baby on the way? Oh, my.
I still find some scenes boring though. I want more focus on their relationship, and less of it on the family and friends. Yes, I realize that in this book f&f are crucial for the storyline, but still... A bit more of romance would be nice 😀
Oh good grief. The ending was boring and why is this even a romance book? Anyway, meh. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I actually agree with Laurette. I was hoping that it would be better, but the romance part of this ROMANCE book was just not enough. And everything other than Ellie and Max's relationship didn't really interest me. All this drama with Mick and scenes with Ellie's friends from prenatal classes were... meh. Boring.

Seeing as most of you finished the last book quite quickly, weeks before we'd initially planned, how many weeks would you like to read this one for? Still 4 or less this time?
I think it's nice if we all read more or less at the same pace - that's why we plan it ahead, and for me that's part of the fun of reading a book as a group. So if most of us think that 4 weeks feels too long then maybe we should change that?
What does everyone think? Do you feel that we should stop planning the exact number of chapters for every week, or read books quicker, or are we just keeping everything as it is?
