Really depends on what you like… he has collections of short stories (which are some of my favorite reads); collections like Dark Tower -where you can lose yourself in a saga…. And he has literally everything scary out there. What scares you?? Find that book of his and tackle the fear.

But the truth is, it doesn't matter - every one of his books are good.
I recommend the 1978 version of The Stand. It's OOP, so you'll have to get it on the secondary market.Stay away from Rose Madder, Sleeping Beauties, Black House and The Stand: Complete and Uncut (1990).
I have a complete and uncut version of The Stand on my shelf that's been there for years. Someday I will wade into it.
