Ryu entered the apartment and slammed the door. He dropped a bag by the door and walked into the kitchen. He had been out for hours and was pretty hungry. He glanced out the window, a breed facility was within view, but too far away to bother him. He shook his head and starts to make a sandwich.
((So, I was thinking, maybe your character is a breeder who escaped the facility and came here?))

((Yeah, I could do that))
Ellie stuck to the shadows as she rushed down the streets of the city. She needed a place to hide out.
Police sirens sounded in the distance.
Ellie spotted someone heading into an apartment building. She quickly followed them inside before the door closed.

Ryu finished making the sandwich and leaned against the counter with a sigh. His guard was down, unlike usual, and he hadn’t realized that someone was still in the hall. He wasn’t paying attention either, the sirens outside had distracted him.
((Don’t mean to bother, just wanted to make sure you saw this))
((Sorry, I didn’t get the notification))
Ellie got off the elevator and crept down the hall. She tried a few apparent doors until she found one that was unlocked. She slipped inside. She tensed when she saw a man. Quickly and quietly, she tucked herself against the wall and made her way towards the hall that led to the washroom and bedrooms. Maybe if she hid under a bed, he wouldn’t notice her and she could sneak out later.

((Ur all good, it happens to all of us lol))
Ryu glanced at the hall, thinking he had heard something. Normally, he wouldn’t have bothered. It could’ve been his cat, but his cat was sleeping on the couch, which was visible from where he was standing. Ryu was also a little on edge from the sirens, so he went to check it out, grabbing a kitchen knife just in case.

Ellie heard someone coming and quickly moved into a bedroom and ducked behind the bed. She prayed he didn’t come in and find her.
Ryu noticed the slightly opened door and frowned. He pushed it open and looked around, then turned the light on. The light casted a shadow over the bed, making it hard to see under the bed without getting down to look. “Who’s in here?” He called out to the seemingly empty room.
Ellie gasped. She covered her mouth with her hands, praying the man didn’t find and hurt her. What if he was even worse than the men who visited the facility?
Ryu heard the gasp and knew exactly where the intruder was. “Come out from under the bed..” He said, his voice monotone and bored sounding. “I won’t hurt you, unless you try and hurt me.” He took a few steps back and stood in the doorway. He knew this person must not be very experienced with breaking in because if they were, Ryu would probably still be in the kitchen.
Ellie whimpered. She crawled out from under the bed and stood, hugging herself. She had long wavy strawberry blond hair, grey eyes, and olive skin. She was wearing a lacy outfit with a baggy sweater overtop.
Ryu looked her up and down. “You’re from one of the facilities, aren’t you?” He asked, although it was obvious. “That’s why the cops are out huh.”
She bit her lip and nodded. “P-please don’t call them…” she didn’t want to have to offer her body, but she would. She just couldn’t go back there.
He shrugged. “Why would I?” He asked. “Those facilities creep me out, so why would I try and send you back.” Ryu looked down at the knife in his hand. “Plus, I can’t say I completely agree with the police, or really any part of the government. So, what, you need somewhere to stay?” He asked.
Ellie let out a sigh of relief. Her eyes watered as she nodded. “If you don’t mind…” she didn’t want to push her luck. “I just need to lay low until they stop looking for me.”
He waved his hand and started to leave the room. “You’re fine, stay as long as you need.” Ryu set the knife on the counter and looked out the window. “Do you want anything to eat?” He called.
Ellie blinked, surprised by his hospitality. She followed him out of the room and to the kitchen. “Umm, sure?”
“Great, I’ve got plenty of food, what do you want?” He asked, closing the blinds on the kitchen window. It didn’t do much for the lighting, it just made it so they couldn’t see the facilities.
“Umm…” she rubbed the back of her neck. “I’m not picky. Maybe a sandwich?” She was always just given food to eat, so she wasn’t even sure what the options were.
Ryu made her a quick sandwich. Cheese, ham, lettuce, nothing too complicated. He cut it in half and slid the plate across the counter. “I’m Ryu, by the way.” He said.
“That’s a nice name.” He said, looking around the room. “So, you’re from one of those breeding facilities then?” He asked. “Must suck there.”
Ellie paused between bites. “Yeah… they treat us good, but the guys who come in aren’t always nice.”
Ryu glanced at the window. “It must be tough, I couldn’t imagine being stuck in there.” He said. His cat hopped off the couch and strode into the kitchen. “Well, you can stay here as long as you need to, I dont mind. It’s hard to survive out there on your own.”
