C.W. Lovatt (cwlovatt) | 75 comments Hi,

I’m looking for reviews for my latest book, “Yuri & the Pig” (87,000 words published by Wild Wolf Publishing), a work of fiction based on the current war in Ukraine. However, the countries involved are fictitious, too.

Amazon link: https://mybook.to/ynp

The following is the blurb:

“From the best-selling author of the Charlie Smithers adventures.

A farmer and his pig set off on an extraordinary quest across war-torn Eastern Europe.

Entangled in a savage war, the country of Xoraina is fighting for its very existence; but to Yuri, a simple peasant from a remote mountain village, it seems all but certain that the invading Zlaimperians must ultimately prevail. Not that it is of any consequence to him, of course. In Yuri’s view, every form of government is equally bad, so it makes very little difference who holds the reins of power. Indeed, throughout time, the only things that have ever really mattered are that the soil be tilled, the cows milked, and the pigs shipped to market, all in a timely fashion.

But when an exorbitant new tax threatens that philosophy, he sets off with his pig across the war-ravaged land to the Capital in order to fight the injustice. In the process, their journey becomes a road to a terrible enlightenment, causing Yuri to question his deeply seated beliefs. But only when he and his pig find themselves placed squarely in destiny’s path is there any hope of those questions finding answers.”

If interested, please contact me at clovatt@xplornet.ca and I’ll arrange for you to receive an e-copy in the format you prefer.

Thank you for your time.

Hi, I'm wondering if you are available for an ARC review at the moment? If this book looks of interest to you and you'd like me to send you an ePub, just fill in the google doc and I'll be in touch. Thanks. Kath.

ARCs to be sent: September 28th, 2023
Release date: October 15, 2023
Word count: Approximately 77,000 words
Requested sites to post reviews: Amazon and Goodreads plus anywhere else
Trigger warnings: Some violence, some swearing, some alcoholism, some reference to underaged sex.

Blurb:
On a lonely moor, an isolated security complex hides a dirty secret. After six years of being held captive without charge, fifteen-year-old David Jessop is forced to make a desperate strike for freedom. Somebody wants to hide the truth. Somebody wants him dead. Just what is the Unit? In order to survive, David must discover why the Unit exists and the real reason he was taken all those years ago. Alone and on the run, he needs answers. Fast.

The Bycatch Principle is a speculative young adult thriller with strong adult crossover appeal. Based in the very near future, it has been described as The Minority Report for young adults, and explores themes of labelling, identity and belonging. Set partly in London and partly in Cornwall, The Bycatch Principle tells the story of a young man who discovers the value of family and friendship and the transformative power of the ocean.

Hello
I am hoping you will review my latest novel, The Gilgamesh Path. It is a space opera science fiction of app 93,000 words (307 pages) professionally edited by Nanette Sipe of Decadent Publishing.
Here is the short blurb.
One dead man’s body reveals a startling secret. Every cell has been corrupted by a micro-organism that gave him eternal health. The thing is…no one knows where he contracted it as it must have been millions of years ago.
So begins the hunt throughout the galaxy for the micro-organism by two opposing individuals, Calain de Longee of the Galactic Core Amalgamation, and Princess Warkis, second in line of the Pataki Dynastic of the Harkardi Empire. Other forces are also at play. The Guardians, a race of super robots who ensure the peace between humans and the Harkardi, warn against the dangers of the micro-organism, and the Forty-Two Steps, a criminal organization, who wish to claim it for themselves. It’s a contest of wills between Calain and Warkis with galactic implications.
My last science fiction novel, Requiem For A Genocide, received many acclimations including the Readers Views Reviewers Choice Awards where it won the Gold Medal for science fiction, in the Global Ebook Awards where it won the Silver Medal, in The National Indie Excellence Awards where it was a finalist, and in the Independent Press Awards where it is listed as a Distinguished Favorite. It is my hope this new book reaches and exceeds these expectations.
You can find my book at Amazon for pre-orders. You can find the book on my Goodreads page here.
As always, I am prepared to do a giveaway should you want one for your site.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email and consider my request. Should you wish to know more about me, you can visit my website michaeldrakich.com.

Wishing you success in everything.
