These are great on audio, the narrator seems like he must have been a dog in another life!
This is a series I only listen to. Jim Frangione is a brilliant narrator and he has the ability to make me think Chet is actually telling the story. The interesting thing about Frangione is he also narrates the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J. R. Ward. It's a vampire romance series with lots of sex and violence. Not my usual cup of tea but I became addicted to the audio version because of the stellar narration.
There are some series that are just better in audio and Chet and Bernie is definitely one of them.
I will remember that, the day is coming when I am going to have to to at least some audio, the eyes are not what they use to be
The second book in The Chet and Bernie series, read between non-fiction for the humor.
Chet and Bernie are a team, a PI team. Their case this time involves dog-snatching of a prized pup and the kidnapping of her owner. Chet, the dog, narrates the story and his unfocused canine mind produces some comical moments and comments. Quinn does a great job of voicing the dog, and Bernie, to be sure, is no perfect guy. It makes the story believable. I cannot help thinking that my own dog's mind works this same way when she is confused as to what is going on.
A cute series that I will continue as I need a filler for my other books.
