Whether it's realistic or not, it's nice to see Logan care so much about something.

Ch. 39
So, kicking things off with Chapter 39 - Keith and Veronica are having another Daddy Daughter Dinner night, sans Logan.

Yes, it really is nice to see his commitment to it!

I agree...I think it's an appropriate balance to the commitment V has to her own career. It would just be nice if he were closer to home. :D

So, how do you all feel about Eli's decision? Did he do the right thing?

I enjoy the little glimpse into Keith's history. We don't know much about Papa Mars prior to becoming a sheriff and family man. What do you think?

I think he did. For his situation it was the best solution.

He definitely did the right thing for him and his daughter, which is saying a lot. Could he have maybe been the catalyst for major change in Neptune by continuing? Maybe (but without a corrupt Neptune, what would Veronica and Kieth do?)

I'm so torn. I can understand the need to get his family back and provide for them, and perhaps that was the best decision for his family - but it wasn't the best decision for Neptune....and with all the trouble everyone went through to help him.

Getting to know a younger Keith explained SO MUCH! I love getting to learn more about him.

That's a good point - with no corruption, it'd be "Leave It to Beaver", and we wouldn't be tuning in for that. ;)

I completely agree. He had to do what was best for his family.

V and Weevil have had their ups and down in the past, do you think Veronica will forgive him and they'll get past this situation?

yes, she has to. even in her world family is important and she will see that for Eli.

I think she understands, even if she is disappointed. If she doesn't forgive him sooner, she will as soon as she needs his help with something.

I like the throwback to Pan, reminds me of the Betty & Veronica episode.....but I digress.... Did anyone ever picture Weevil watching "Ponies" with his daughter?

I think she'll come to see that he did what he had to in order to protect his family. Veronica doesn't like surprises, though, and they were completely blindsided by his decision, so it'll take her a while to get there.

I agree, she may not know what it's like to have a child and significant other depend on her, but she sure knows what it's like to have family to depend on her and not wanting to let them down.

Honestly, I think Weevil would do anything for his kid. I love how much he values being a good dad. I can totally picture him watching "ponies" learning all their names, playing after.

So, what did you think when V got the call from Rachel Fahy....did you think this was the break she was waiting for, or that it would be another unfortunate dead end?
