i’m curious, because personally i can’t it gets too distracting,, but can you guys?

surprisingly yes I can! normally when I read I like to listen to harry styles, taylor swift, and sometimes I even find a playlist for the book!

yes! i can especially when i have music that fits what i am reading. but i cannot read and write at the same time, i end up writing the lyrics i am listening to lol

yess!! i love to search for playlists on spotify that fit the book, it makes the reading experience so much better :)

It gets too distracting for me to read with songs in the background so I prefer classical music more

for me i need to have music to read. since i started reading i always had music on so i guess i got used to that

yes! I either put on classical music that matches the vibe of the book, or music with words. The music with words thought has to be the exact vibe of the book for me or I won’t listen to it

i only can if it’s through my airpods. but sometimes, if i’m super overwhelmed, i only can concentrate with white noise or something

i can read with instrumental music, like soft classical or things like that, not lofi though. i dont get how people can read with music with lyrics, i wish i could!

I find I can read with instrumental music but music with lyrics is too distracting. But shockingly I can read in a room full of people (like a class room or something) because I just block people out lmao

I personally can not .. I can listen to music without lyrics, but with- it gets too distracting😭. I wish I could listen to music with words n all during reading, especially with books that have playlist.. but no!! My brain simply trails off :,)

Hi! I’m personally can’t read and listen to music at the same time. But I tried the brown noise while I was reading and that is amazing! I was so calm! I really recommend it to someone who just wants to relax a bit, but everyone can try it.

Not at all! I wind up listening to the music and skimming the book. I’ll usually put rain sounds on if my surroundings are too loud just to drown that out.

Last summer I could only read if I was listening to Harrys House and now every time I hear it I get thrown back into the books I was reading while I listened, its very jarring when it happens and that album is all over my top songs of all time cause it was all I listened to for 3 months straight

It depends on the book, if it’s like a YA novel or Romance then yeah, but when I’m reading fantasy its a hit or miss, sometimes the music is too distracting with fantasy and like literature based books.

I usually just find playlists of instrumental versions of songs I like. Sometimes I get carried away and try to sing the lyrics that would usually be there lol but most of the time I can read with it I’m the background! BUT this one time I was reading outside on my hammock and I found a Spotify playlist of like beach waves sounds and it was like I was at the beach ahah.but fr it was very relaxing

it helps me focus. i need to hear the music to bring me back to reality, cause i get distracted by my thoughts snd cant do my work

Personally I can when is music lofi or more relaxed background, but when is other music tipe I get soooo distracted and start singing
