Uh oh. I'm reading so many that I totally forgot about this one. Nobody texts on this thread either. I guess I will be starting tomorrow then. Haha.
I'm also busy with 5 different books and forgot about this one, but I'll see how far I can read today
so i hit the halfway mark on this book last night. and I'm bubbling with curiosity at this point. I swear I've never wanted to read the last page first but with this book, I just want to KNOW!
Has everyone else finished reading? If so, please put me out of my misery and tell me that Nico and Libby end up a couple? please? I dig them together so much.
hahahah God this is crazy! I'd totally stopped thinking of Ezra as even an important character, someone to factor into all that was happening. until... until that bit about him being a "traveller" came up! now that has me intrigued for sure!
out of the Atlas Six, I like Callum the least up until now. He seems like the obvious candidate to be eliminated, but something tells me it won't be that simple. or easy. definitely not easy. the ending is probably going to blow my mind... I just know it
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who didn't finish the book yet. It's hard to finish my reading goals between school and work. I'm currently on page 112
Oh I get it. Honestly. Life happens. Plans shift. It's inevitable. I meant to be done with this book in the first week of April. And I didn't get to start until the last week of April. Haha. Funny how things turn out.
Let's do three chapters everyday in the beginning? And if that feels slow, we can write here and increase it to 5 maybe?
From what I can tell, there aren't really numbered chapters, so that might be hard. There are only the 9 parts
We can start with that, but I could probably do 2 a day... but let's start with 1. Sonja, are you good with that?
Hi, yes starting tomorrow is good and one part per day not the badest choice (work is slowing me down considerably). Why Goodreads App aren't you showing me my threads. :-(
Okay great we'll just start with 1 then and can always adjust from thereIf you have trouble with notifications, maybe turn on that you get an email? Those don't always work either but so far seems like I at least get the notification within the app
So read 40 pages and feeling like I am reading another author, kinda. Where's the navelgazing? What's with the borderlining purple prose? Some of these sentences don't make sense. Was that a play on Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow?
Okay I only just finished part 1, but I saw parts 2 and 3 are the same combined as part 1 was on its own, so I'll catch up with that tomorrow. That being said, I have absolutely no clue what's going on. Lol. I'll admit I don't really remember how the prose was in the previous books, but my feeling of confusion is still there, so that's something I guess?
Yep. I'm a slacker who's slacking. I'll catch up on the weekend but judging by your reactions, I'm not surprised. I was expecting this to be a veryyyy slow start. As is usual with the Atlas books. Also, does anyone know if this is the last book or if there would be more after this?
I couldn't read much today either. Tomorrow will be better. And I really hope there won't be another one. ;-) And I can't update yet because my edition here in Goodreads has zero pages, I asked the Librarians but who knows when they get to it.
Yeah I'm also hoping for this to be the last one... it's definitely slow again yeah, hopefully it'll pick up (maybe it will and I just won't notice it in my confusion lol)
I have problems with this book, after twenty pages my brain says no more. Sorry this is going slower then I wanted.
I actually haven't gotten furhter than part 1 either. Not so much the book, but I just hadn't had time sadly
okay I'm at part 5. I feel like I forget what I've read the second I turn the page. I have no clue what's going on and am just going through the motions basically lol. Only thing that stood out to me was the apparent Taylor Swift reference (You don't have to keep secrets to keep me or something was the quote) and the Reddit one (Is Atlas the asshole)? Otherwise I have no idea
oh god. I just finished part 1 and I'm NOT having fun. it's slow. it's tedious. I'm having trouble continuing.
agh. I knew this might not be a picnic. the writing style isn't my favorite anyway but still.... it's too much. too tedious. I hope it picks up pace soon
Unfortunately I can't say it gets better (so far). I do feel like there's more going on than in the other books but tbh I really don't see why I rated the other 2 4 stars lol. Maybe I was feeling generous
No momentarily it's at 1.5 stars. It's so slow my god! I needed three days to force myself to read 18 pages! And the navelgazing is back, they do nothing! There should be world ending ongoings. Nada, they moan to themselfs and text each other!! Raina and Callum are the only ones pretending to have a plan.
Well Reina's plan has nothing to do with the archives and is just world domination. I don't care if it's noble goals when you're forcing everyone to comply, because you are the one deciding what's noble. Callum has some sort of plan but idk. Definitely hard to get through
I've stopped after Part 1. I just couldn't. I'll read part 2 on sunday but this is going to be a long stretch for me.
