I respected her final f**k you to John. It was brilliant. But I also wondered why Catherine gave up on herself and let herself become his victim. I did see it coming, but that may be because I have read this book before.
I couldn't figure out if Catharine actually thought she was dying or if she suspected that John would try to kill her. Either way, she was ready to make sure that he didn't get her money and that he'd pay for his illegal actions.
I'm with you two. I still wonder about her health and her thought processes. I thought that she could confide in her lawyers about her suspicions. I did love the fact that she got him. He didn't have what he needed to keep his side pieces happy, and he no longer had the money to keep himself in the life he wanted to live.
