Beth | 212 comments Good afternoon... I've begun the month with a couple in progress: That was Now, This is Then by Williamson, Play Dead by Mason &Stephens, The Women of Chateau Lafayette by Dray, and Rook by Cameron.
Of course, if a hold comes in from the library, or a new release I've been waiting for appears on the shelves before I finish these, they might be set aside... Again...

Michele Olson | 557 comments I'm listening to Little Big Man, which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would, and reading The Woman They Could Not Silence: One Woman, Her Incredible Fight for Freedom, and the Men Who Tried to Make Her Disappear by Kate Moore. The latter is of local interest to me, because she was confined to the Illinois State Hospital in Jacksonville, which is less than an hour from where I live.

I just started The Woman They Could Not Silence earlier today. It looks fascinating.

Yeah, I'm about a third of the way through, and it's really good, but kind of hard to read at times, the things they had to go through.

Now reading (audiobook) "1920: The Year That Made the Decade Roar" by Eric Burns for #10 Set in the roaring 20s. I'll also be reading (dead tree) "Warning: The Story of Cyclone Tracy" by Sophie Cunningham for #15 Set in Australia.

I have worked for years in a second-hand book shop, so much of my books are from there. This was bought online at QXL.dk from Denmark, and I sold it recently at Bookis.
