elisa ❦ wrote: "The Lady is daring, Alaska by Brenda Novak and the Invisible life of Addie LaRue"Why? I hear a lot of hype on THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF ADDIE LA RUE!
hm sometimes books are very overhyped though
i've never seen the movie but i don't think it could properly show what the book did
I haven't seen the movie yet either, but I really liked the book. I can see how it might not be to everyone's taste, though.
yeah definitely an acquired taste

what do you not like about it?
what do you not like about it?
@Rouh becauseeee I was bored most of the time, i didn't prove neither compassion or any emotions for any character (maybe I was a little sad for Henry) and the romance was so strange and personally I was shocked (in a negative way lol)
@Ummaima The first few Chapters were pure infodump. I had to skim my way through. Then the magic system was way too detailed for something that's not even gonna be more than 10%. You could read more reviews about it about other reasons why it's bad too I guess.Anyway Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover is also up there on my list. So far it is the only book I've ever DNF'd.

books who detail their philosophy are really tiring, i agree. atlas six was like that for me, so many theories.
ive heard so many things about colleen hoover's books and none of them are good

ive read fault in our stars. i personally found it alright- maybe a bit overrated
Fault in our stars and it ends with us
MysticalLilac wrote: "okay not the worst but the fault in our stars was so bad. i literally cringed. it's my most unpopular opinion i guess- does anyone else feel the same?"Yes, I think all his books are over rated. I think the best one was Looking for Alaska as at least I didn't feel forced to cry! He loves to manipulate emotions.
The very worst one I can think of at the moment is: Fifty Shades of Grey. I quit reading it after 100 pages.

me!!!!!!! i didnt even cry it was so pathetic...I want the time it took me reading that book back

ive heard that about shatter me
for me it's the book thief. no plot, no emotion and its narration comes across very haughty. also the girl only steals 3 books.
lol i think it was more about what was happening in germany than actually stealing books
the spanish love deception by elena armas or under zero by ali hazelwood-- i have enjoyed (or slightly enjoyed) some of their other books but these ones really didn't pique my interest. the majority of these characters got on my nerves and i only really pulled through because of a few of them. the plot was there, the execution was not
Anastasia wrote: "Shatter me and it ends with us, These two were wayyyy overhyped"I sure agree with you! After reading Shatter Me I quit. I believe that I gave each of these books one star as they were awful. I did manage to finish both of them.
Books are overhyped because some people had enjoyed to the max for the reason of being an over emotion/moody creature. JUST LIKE ME. Lol! But if we gonna talk about the literature pfff so many!lol!
meg ⟡ wrote: "the book thief. as much as i wanted to like it i couldn't, and that's a red flag for me."My sister and a close friend wanted me to read The Book Thief. I don't know why they thought I would like it so much as I didn't but my friend gave me a gorgeous copy of it which I keep. Maybe someday I will read it again and like it better.

Can't choose between "Stay Gold" - Tobly McSmith
"Book Boyfriend" - Kris Ripper
both equally the worst books i've read
They Both Die at the End I could not stand reading the book from one of the character's point of view. I had to put it down. I absolutely hated it. Another one is the Twilight series. I mean I thought it was okay but it just got weird and I felt no attachment to the characters and I felt that they were all idiots. I am proud to say that I finished the entire series in 3 days of nonstop reading.
