Thanks for the info. I think HBO could do a really decent job at adapting the series. I think it was one of the most influential series I have read. I loved how Asimov linked it to his Robot series as well.

They have been talking about this for awhile. I first read Foundation in 1977 and it was what inspired me to start writing SF. I am so excited about this...I might actually have to subscribe to HBO!!

I need to get crackin' on reading this; it's only been something I've wanted to read for about 15 years. I'm happy to see science fiction finally returning to television.

As a series, multiple seasons, this makes all the sense in the world to me. And HBO is really doing things as well as the movie industry in terms of production values. Here's to hoping this show won't break the streak.
