My apologies for not putting out a survey for June's theme but things have been a little crazy this month so next month will be a Free Choice month, Not sure what to read for the month? Well at least I can offer suggestions for you fine folks attempting this challenge.
Some like it hot (Summer is firing up and so are the characters in these books)
Pride Month (Love comes in many varieties and these books remind you being interested in someone of the same sex is not wrong.)
Wee Folk Festival (June 24th is International Fairy Day so celebrate with stories about little people and magical creatures.)
Roughing it (June is National Outdoors Month so read books with settings outside of typical urban areas)
Backlog Challenge (As always the default is to read manga just to catch up to your never ending {trust me I understand} collection of graphic novel volumes.)

Looks like July is about to get wet as "Set at the beach/or body of water" wins out in the vote. Although many series have at least one volume that is set at the beach side there are some series where water plays an important role so you don't have to re-hunt through your books to match this theme.
Here are some examples if anyone finds themselves floundering for ideas.
Aria: The Masterpiece Volume 1
Children of the Sea, Volume 1
Tropic of the Sea
Peach Mermaid Vol. 1
Ponyo, Volume 1
The Water Dragon's Bride, Vol. 1
Weathering With You, Vol. 1
Wandering Island, Vol. 1
Vinland Saga Omnibus, Vol. 1
Mermaid Saga Collector's Edition, Vol. 1
Frozen 2: The Manga
One Piece, Volume 1: Romance Dawn *
Destiny's Hand *
Black Lagoon, Vol. 1 *
Wanted *
Edit* Forgot some manga have boats surrounded by water :)

You're welcomed. I appreciate your group for allowing me to track what GN I read this year so offering suggestions and occasionally throwing the Themes of the month are the least I can do. :)

Busy or something? Is she the one that hasn't even been on Goodreads since the beginning of last year? I would think by now Goodreads would have passed on leadership to you. :)

Yup I think I might be looking for help a co-owner at this point... I can never handle a group alone.

I guess that would be me then considering I did some of the themes and pop in now and there to update my list. :)

Not that it would add a lot onto my plate with this guild mostly being about keeping track of our reading progress for each year. Might be fun to try some new things. Of course you are still the boss lady as far as I am concerned.
So if you want to make it official by all means don't let me stop you. :)

With the theme "TBR Backlist" winning by 4 times the votes of the runner up this month is going to be an easy one for those of you wanting to keep score of theme related books. After all everything counts so long as you have been wanting to read something this month.
For those that want more of a challenge this month might I suggest color combinations for cover too? For me personally I am doing a secondary color challenge to see how many books I can find with Purple, Orange, and Green on the cover (let me assure you it is less than the primary colors of Red, Blue, and Yellow.) :)

The votes are in and it looks like the bell is ringing as we find graphic novels set in and around an educational facility. This category covers plenty of series including Some X-men, Ranma 1/2, Fruits Basket, and Urusei Yatsura just to name a few off the top of my head.
Class is in session as soon as September begins. :)

I hope you are hungry for some good reading in November because the most voted upon theme is Feast Time (Books who have food themes or even take time to show the characters enjoying a meal from time to time.)
You are more than welcomed to offer your own suggestions but how about I start you up with some possible title suggestions with food themes.
Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma, Vol. 1 (The food orgasm series.)
Delicious in Dungeon, Vol. 1 (Mmm. Monster recipes)
Drifting Dragons, Vol. 1 (Food is in the description of the book.)
Restaurant to Another World, Vol. 1 (Unusual clientele come to eat.)
Crazy Food Truck, Vol. 1 (At least I assume it has food)
My Love Story!!, Vol. 1 (She loves to cook and he loves to eat)
Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, Volume 1 (Fate/Stay Night characters in a world where the Holy Grail War isn't happening. Has recipes too)
Re:Monster Vol. 1 (Main character eats things and creatures to gain new powers)
What Did You Eat Yesterday?, Volume 1 (Yaoi couple deal with the struggles of life and enjoys good food from what I hear.)
Sweetness and Lightning, Vol. 1 (Single father ends up cooking more for his child.)
Toriko, Vol. 1: Gourmet Hunter Toriko! (Title is self explanatory.)
Ranma 1/2 (2-in-1 Edition), Vol. 1: Includes Volumes 1 & 2 (Plenty of restaurants and family meals {plus Akane's terrible attempts}.)
Beauty and the Feast, Vol. 1 (Widow helps feed her neighbor with a huge appetite.)

With December being the end of the year I am not doing a Theme poll instead leaving it open for you all to chose your own theme to wrap the year up. If you are looking for suggestions I will leave a few down below.
Joy to the World (Iyashikei and feel good Slice of Life graphic novels.)
Toy Box (Read GNs based on toys, movies, or TV shows.)
Quote the Raven (GNs based on other books. This can be any of the various classic adaptation or even light novels getting the manga treatment.)
Bah Humbug! (Not in the mood for joy this season? Dive into some eerie GNs that inspire chills more than cheers.)
I hope you all had a fun year and meet all of your reading goals (I know I got a bit distracted and did not read as many series as I had hoped lol.) Whatever you celebrate, assuming you celebrate at all, I wish you happy holidays and all the best as we reach toward 2024. :)

This way I do not clutter the boards (Honestly some could use a little purging) and everyone has a central place to discuss monthly themes if desired such as suggestions for upcoming themes or even series that match the theme of the month we are on.
I hope you are all having fun as you are challenged to seek out certain titles. :)
