So I've been reading thru the chats and stuff. I got a dm from one member saying they're leaving the group bc they feel like they're getting almost overwhelmed ig by the fact that the majority of the group is Christian, and feels like the Christians 'jumped' on them when they made a comment about how it's the majority of the religion here. Idk what to do really... :/
(also just using they for not saying identity, no other purpose)

Yeah, I remember someone saying that as well.

No one really pressed Christianity on said person, but idk, maybe they just weren’t comfortable with having a high demographic of Christians.

We can’t really do anything abt it, tho, besides respect people’s beliefs and opinions kindly.

I agree. And something I was thinking - maybe we could send out a group message? Saying something like we can talk about our personal beliefs *kindly* and we cannot put anyone else down for theirs. And while religion is something we need to respect one another's beliefs on, it isn't the purpose of the group, and it isn't necessary to talk at lengths and debate at each other's beliefs. Anything like that can be found in a different group specified for that purpose, or taken to dm. The purpose is to lift each other up positively, help each other, and help ourselves, and grow from each other's advice in a good way.
What do you think? I want this to be a safe space for everyone😔

No one was really putting anyone else down though, but yeah, maybe a general message like that.

I honestly don't think anyone got put down either, but I guess some people get triggered easily. I just want to make the group as positive and encouraging as possible, yk?

Wow, okay.. I'd say let's try to keep everything as smoothed over and positive as possible for everyone. I appreciate you telling us this. There's going to be some things like this we'll probably have to deal with, and I think the best response is always kindness and being 'peacemakers' I guess, but if things get out of hand with any of the members, as much as I hate to say it, we can't let it stay in the group. So I was thinking, for future times, we can make a 'three strikes and you're out' policy for anyone who breaks the rules. What do y'all think?
