The Grishaverse discussion

So today I was just scrolling through Goodreads as one does and I came across six of crows book three !!!!!!! I had heard that it was a possibility to get a third book but I guess this means it’s for sure now 🤭 so just wondering if anyone knows of a release date. Please let me know if you heard of one. I’m desperate. Thanks!

There’s no official release date yet, but Leigh just signed a big deal for like 12 books, and some of them are supposed to be for the grishaverse so probably within the next couple of years

I had seen something about it probably getting released in 2024 but idk. Ugh I don’t want to wait a year though🥲

I heard someone say it’s either going to be kaz, Inej, or both :(

She has never officially said she is making a six of crows 3, just hinted she might someday. But she said it wouldn’t be soon likely because she wanted to explore other things so I wouldn’t get your hopes up for it being released in 2024

Well yeah but she DID leave a spoiler in the end of RoW, and I don't thinks she can just leave that as it is. PLUS it would bring in SO MUCH MONEY, she has SO many fans that it would be counterproductive NOT to

Jas - oh I know she did. But she did say in a newsletter and recently she doesn’t have a plan for going back into the grishaverse at this time. She might now, but SOC has been on goodreads for a while so I don’t think she’s planning on releasing anything about the grishaverse (new stories) in 2024.

Also, it’s not like she NEEDS so much more money with the success of the Shadow and bone show as well haha. I was just saying she hasn’t said explicitly she’s writing it. It’s always been “if” when she’s talked about it so far! :)

Lol true, she does have a lot of money rn probably. But y'know, even if not for the money, she could get more nominations for book of the year or whatever. Anyway I think even if she doesn't release any in 2024, I'm guessing she will eventually - she's too popular not too! Plus its more fodder for future Netflix shows ;)

Jas - absolutely I don’t think she won’t release anything soon she just took a long time to release the ninth house sequel so I’m hopeful it’s soon but also I understand if it’s not!! I’m really hoping there is a six of crows three soon

same I want another book but I also don't want them to die, but I also kinda wanna cry reading it, but I also know if one of them dies I will sob and it will hurt a lot.

I do believe in an interview LB said something along the lines of ‘I will write a third SoC book if the fans really want one, but you need to know if I do, (this part I remember word for work) “bad things will happen to the characters you love”
So she never said there would be another character death but she’s also reallllly good at writing death scenes 😭
But it does sound quite possible that a third book is coming but in true LB and SoC fashion its not gonna be happy?
(idc I would read her shopping list and cry probably)

I mean, I feel like every SoC fan is in a delirious state of mind where we think nothing bad will ever happen to our 5 remaining crows but in actuality ... I wouldn't put it past her to have all of them die to volcras or smth

Literally the highest rated book on my goodreads TBR is Six of Crows book three. I think the fans want a third book lol

Ok i might get hated on for this BUT HEAR ME OUT i feel like Six of Crows 3 is just not needed. Like i feel like Crooked Kingdom had a great ending and King of Scars did a great job picking up. Like if she did write a 3rd then i would obviously read it and probably like it but i just dont think it needs to happen.

i agree but i also just will take any more grishaverse/soc content i can get! maybe a prequel or something

literally at the tail end of RoW and hearing there's a cliffhanger makes me mad and happy at the same time haha

I think the most obvious character to die would be Kaz, doing something heroic to save Inej the Crows and in his final moments he'll finally accept that they were like a family to him and that Inej was more than just an investment

But also if he dies I will probably be arrested for trespassing on Leigh's property and crying at 2 in the morning

Yesss, what about a new Grishaverse story entirely? Following some of our same characters? Six of Crows 3 couldn’t even directly follow Crooked Kingdom as you’d have KoS and RoW in between.

I need some more wesper content y’all it’s my fave ship in the entire series and there was not enough. Also I just love the crows so much and think those books are absolute gold, can’t wait for a third

Me too!! Wesper is amazing in the show but we need more Crows together.

I just need more of the Crows' little family dynamic!! I was so sad when the spin off got cancelled.
