David Freas (quillracer) | 559 comments The first Harry Potter movie motivated me to read the book, and I would rate them about equal. After that, once the movie came out, I'd read the book and in general think the movie stuck close to the book's storyline.
My highest rated book-to-movie adaptation was The Lincoln Lawyer. It really followed the book well. Many of the adaptations of novels by Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett from the 40s stayed close to the book, too.
But on the whole, I find almost all movies fall far short in matching every aspect of what the book delivers.

We love movies here.

I am a movie fan, and also great series.

Like Alistair Maclean books, which made great films

Where Eagles Dare

Ice Station Zebra

The Guns Of Navarone

Yes agreed, becomes too far fetched.

These films above has acting, tense moments, story, pace, scenery

Great casts.
