Conversations with Friends question

I´m almost done with Conversation with Friends but for some reason I can´t get myself to like Frances. I don´t know what it is maybe her personality or the way it was written but her character doesn´t amuse me.. the way she´s always so unfazed or ironic and even selfish.
All this makes the book quite hard read
