Although I can't remember my exact reactions at the time (it's been a while since I read this one) but I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this plot and the unexpected villain. That said, once again I don't like the idea that Seth wasn't really responsible for his actions rather his "evil twin" took control of him.
I thought at the time that the combination of Mallory's spell and the destruction of the Malfecium split Seth into two, creating a cloned self. It was much more interesting to learn that it forced the separation of Dominic.
Now that I think back, I also thought that Dominic was a physical manifestation of Seth's evil side. Actually, I prefer the way it turned out because the angel storyline was really interesting and added an intriguing layer of world building to the series.
I had no idea what was going on. I remember wondering if Mallory and Seth were working together to create some sort of Super Seth. Lol! I was confused.
I like the Angels angle. I do find it curious though that the supernaturals don't always know about one another. I was surprised that this was new information to everyone except Claudia. Especially Paige. She was the Order's archivist.
