I just kept reading and now I'm nearly done with Blue Lily, Lily Blue and I'm really regretting it right now because now I'm not gonna comment anymore since I'd probably unintentionally give something away. But you're in for a wild ride, these books are so good. :)
I finished the book last night so I can't predict anything anymore, haha. But I really enjoyed these chapters. I feel like Gansey began acting strange around Blue early on, maybe because he's felt something for her since they met, kind of the same way she felt weird around him? Or perhaps it's just her energy or something :)I like a lot of comments Gansey makes about Blue - the table is one of my favorites! I really like Adam (he's probably my favorite character in the book) but I don't want him with Blue, for some reason.
I already read the next section of chapters, so I won't be saying much either. I do ship Blue/Adam very much, but I know that it will most likely not end up happy, or at least the way I hope. They're very compatible, and they understand each other. As for Whelk, I don't really like him. He's very... off-putting. And for what's starting, I think they ley lines will be not what they expect at all, and shit will probably go down. Something so mysterious and important will end up being a much bigger deal than they thought.
I can't even speak beyond being torn between Adam and Blue or Blue and Gansey. I was hardcore on the A&B train and then Blue had her vision in the tree and now I just don't know.I still don't like Ronan, though. Oops.
At first I thought I was on the Adam & Blue train, but after I read chapters 23 & 24 I started to ship Blue and Gansey a lot more. I love their playfulness and I don't really know why but that's what I love between two YA Lit teenagers. I'm also sooo interested in the ley lines and what they do, I'm so excited to keep reading!
Oh man, I burned through this book, and really want to get my hands on a copy of the rest of the trilogy, but have to wait until my next paycheck. Chapter 24 marks the point where I literally could not put the book down. Hmmm...as of Chapter 24, I really appreciated how Blue and Gansey were developing - I loved the relationship that the author was building but I still can't help but ship Adam and Blue. I like the dynamic between Blue and Gansey as it stands - without either looking for anything else necessarily. But I imagine as everything continues, whatever Stiefvater builds to will direct my emotions.
God Stiiefvater's writing kills me. Hey style is just so on point - the repetition, but especially the way she slows and quickens pace with the different background timelines she provides (Ronan's backstory in ch. 7 for example). But also how she subverts expectations in dialogue on occasion, the quick back and forth that mimics internal thought (the 'no, but yes, but kinda' that she peppers the novel with slays me) - it's the kind of writing that makes me mad I didn't write first.

I've read ahead and finish s blue lily lily blue and now I'm just waiting for the next book but I'll be so sad when I get it too cause it's the last book

Feel free to post any comments, predictions or questions you have here and to also interact with others! If you've read ahead please be extra careful about mentioning things that haven't been read yet or even foreshadowing them.
I'm really loving the direction this book is going in so far. Blue and Adam are cute together, but I still ship her and Gansey and I'm worried about what will happen to Adam when it's all said and done. I'm really curious if what Adam saw in the Ley Line had anything to do with that. I really love Gansey and thought the part where he referred to Blue as the table everyone wants at starbucks was really fitting and quite funny.
Whelk makes me suspicious. I can't tell what his intentions are but to be honest he kind of gives me the creeps.
Question of the week: In chapter 24, the last line of the last paragraph says "It was starting, it was starting" What are your predictions for what exactly is starting and also for their futures?
