What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

story is set in a town in south africa (the author is also african)

it involves a young girl
=Her name translates to ROCK
= Her grandma named her
= she loves her name and loves collecting rocks and stones
= has a whole bucket of them
= her mother hates and disapproves of her rock collection
= her father supposedly died in a car accident a while back

one day she discovers a rock that fulfills all of her wishes (she doesnt realize this at first)
she has two friends at school ( one of them is named four eyes as he wears glasses)
she often gets bullied idk


spoiler alert - she discover that the mother who was living with her since her father's 'death' wasnt actually her mother , she's a witch. her parents are trapped somewhere in another world. she has to find the other pieces of the magic rock she found to find them. her parents were apparently healers and that's why they got sent to another world for that by some witches. everyone is after the rock.

i read this book around 2016 - 18
