Ooof, that's a lot of book. :) 882 pages / 31 days = ~30 pages per day
That'll be my goal.
I think the language style may be a challenge, so I'm thinking about doing audiobook in additional to "regular" book.
Yes I'm thinking of spreading it over the whole month and doing a mix of audiobook and physical reading too. I have a love/hate relationship with Dickens so I hope this one leans towards love!

Planning to get in some good audiobook time this weekend. How’s your reading going?
Finally started! I found an audio of the book on the Librivox website read by a lovely Gaelic voice. 😊 Here's the link if you're interested: https://librivox.org/david-copperfiel...
Thanks for the audiobook link!My first week went well but I've made little progress since then. I most recently finished chapter 15. (view spoiler)
I'm looking forward to reading Demon Copperhead at some point in future. Are the parallels between the book quite clear?

Yes, there are clear parallels between the two books. The Wikipedia page for Demon lists the characters in that work and their counterparts in David.
Finished with 49 minutes to spare! 😂I loved it. Loved the writing style, loved the characters, loved the vignettes, loved the ending. I definitely cried at some parts (oh, when Ham and David are talking about Emily ::sniffle::) and laughed at others. I’m so glad I took on this challenge!
I hope all is well with you, Lilac!

Pages: 882 pages
Length: 1 month (July)
Participants: Beth, Lilac
Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
