What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I had to read this book for AP Bio in high school and loved it. I'm fairly sure because of this it was about dr's or some form of health care working in India. I know New Delhi and Delhi are mentioned. I feel like the cover was blue.

There wasn’t the aspect of the dad’s death or journalist being involved, to my memory. But the aspects of the vastness of India feel very close!
