Tiffany Farfan | 7 comments HI! I read Dead Silence byS.A.Barnes last year and I really liked the book. The isolated group dynamic, the exploration of an abandoned large ship, and the mystery of how many people disappeared. And the atmosphere and tone was perfect. I gave it 4 out of 5 because I think the character building of the side characters was weak. This book had similar vibes to the movie Ghost Ship that I love (even though it's not great, it has one of the most iconic horror movie scenes ever). I really want to find more books like it. Horror, sci-fi or mystery is great. I'm still new to sci-fi so world-building can't be too convoluted to understand yet. Length doesn't matter.

Some similar sci-fi/horror novels, some a little broader in scope but still in that vein:
Salvation Day by Kali Wallace - Kali Wallace
Dead Space by Kali Wallace - Kali Wallace
Ship of Fools by Richard Paul Russo - Richard Paul Russo
Paradise-1 by David Wellington - David Wellington
Salvaged by Madeleine Roux - Madeleine Roux

Jennifer Setaro | 68 comments I felt that this book has a very similar feel. Isolated group exploring a long missing abandoned ship. I read these two back to back.
