Now Broadway actors and musicians & crews are planning on a big strike.
What I didn't realize when I read the news coverage was that the Great White Way currently hosts eighteen remakes or reboots. Eighteen!
In general, they've all been losing money; everything except Disney musicals.

The current impasse --according to 'anonymous insiders' --is for all-the-marbles. It's a 'fateful standoff' the outcome of which will 'determine the health of Hollywood for a long time to come'. "Win big or go home".
But where does this jeremiad emerge from? This hoarse rag below, is well-known across LA as just a thinly-disguised mouthpiece for studio management:

And unfortunately on this occasion, the 'tough-talk' --via this mynah-bird -- has apparently backfired badly, because now 16,000 actors have joined 11,000 writers on the picket lines.

So now its a full-blown walkout. And the modern WGA has never lost a major strike, so they say.
