I've got a three way tie for September, but have already started City of Mirrors so I guess that will be my September winner :)
I won The Intern by Michele Campbell and started reading it a couple of days ago. It is very good so far. I wish I had more time to spend reading it.
I'm sorry October's threads are going to be late. I've just been really busy with family weddings and events and now I'm going away for a few days. Apologies all. I'll get to them by the coming weekend, hopefully.
None of This is True was picked by my book club and it was such a good read! Any other recommendations?

I just finished Kill Show, a true crime novel that was a series of interviews that were used in the creation of a TV documentary. I really enjoyed it.
So far... None of This is True - very good!
The Stranger Upstairs - decent, a good debut author novel
Dark Corners - LOVED

Thanks for your patience guys! I am so sorry for being so tardy this month. The October threads are now up.
It was a really lovely wedding and I enjoyed catching up with family I hadn't seen in ages. I also had a lovely few days in North Devon with my two elder daughters. Devon has some steep hills and I mean steep ........ so that was interesting!!
On a side note, I bought some Halloween decorations today, I've caved. Halloween stuff everywhere. Everything seems to get earlier, don't you think?!
Enjoy your October reads.

"On a side note, I bought some Halloween decorations today, I've caved. Halloween stuff everywhere. Everything seems to get earlier, don't you think?!"Janet, you are so right! Someone set something up on one of our hills last week. It's over 7 feet tall and looks like a skeleton with bat wings and bright red eyes (a la Stranger Things). We (me and my Corgi Lab mix) walked past it and it's motion activated. It roared! Scared Cookie half to death! She nearly shoved me into the street!

I know what you mean about the hills, I stayed near Westward Ho! last October and just walking from our accommodation to the pub was a workout haha
Completely with you about Halloween, I put up my Halloween decs this weekend - spider wreath on the front door, pumpkins all over the place, spooky tealight holders (including the cutest ghost from Yankee candle). The whole autumn/winter period from October to New Year is my absolute favourite time of year :)

PLEASE NOTE:
PIFM is meant to be FUN and not to be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if all participants just chilled and not get worked up about voting, who votes, who doesn't, etc. Please bear in mind that some will just want to vote, many don't come on everyday and most of us have time constraints. I just want a relaxed approach to it all and for you all to just enjoy the process! I'd really appreciate your courtesy in this matter. Many thanks.
