Is it just me or was this a bit......far fetched. Pun intended with the werewolves. So Vittoria is not dead, she is in fact Goddess of Death. Emilia is not a Star Witch or a witch at all but also a goddess. Goddess of Fury. Ok like come on really? It is almost like the author didn't know where she wanted to go with solving Vittoria death so she just wrote her back into existence. Making her seem like a cold hearted bitch without a conscience. Then at the end making her a warm but cool hearted sister who supports Emilia and Wrath and is thankful for Emilia clearing her name from murder. For getting a blood retribution off her head. Like seriously how far fetched and dumb is this. Also to have this war starting between the Princes of Hell and the witches but actually never delivering on it except for one really short and quick fight. The battle with Wrath and the werewolves was more entertaining. I liked the twist where Vittoria and Emilia were banished to the Isles and never lived actually in Italy or in fact even left hell. I also enjoyed that Prides wife is their childhood best friend when they were growing up mortal after being trapped into a spell-locked body and then discovering who they really were 20 years later after growing up. Again she tastefully wrote the spicy scenes into the story where it really told the bond and lover Emilia and Wrath had. I enjoyed that Wrath had to be the one who stabbed Emilia to break his curse and her be willing to sacrifice her magic for him. That shows true strength of love and for it in the end to come back as a gift from Wrath.
I absolutely fell in love with Wrath and Envy. Even Lust grew on me and Sloth. Pride was typical Pride and didn't feel very special to me and I feel it be nice to know him a bit more. Greed kinda pissed me off for just being who he is....Greedy. Gluttony was another story I would have loved to know more of. I also would have loved to know what each prince lost with the curse that was put on them. Wrath lost his wings. Pride couldn't leave Hell. I want to know what the others had lost. To bad that was not disclosed.
I do recommend this series but again I would not recommend it as Young Adult. More a fantasy for adults.
