Have you won anything lately? I'm on a major dry spell... I need something!!

I haven't won anything since April (Genghis Birth of an Empire). It's not for lack of signing up though!

Somebody I know on here won at least two in one week... actually it was more like two or three days. Not fair! Share the love with Jenni! :) (And Sonja!) There are a few that I've signed up for that I'd really love to win.

If William keeps doing better, we should get together sometime this week. He's gone 36 hours without turning blue... I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I soooo do not want to take him to a cardiologist. He may not know it yet, but he doesn't want it either!

I'm glad to hear he's doing better. I'm up for dinner any day except Friday. I'm going back home this weekend. I still have a Mondo's gift certificate! Just let me know what you want to do and when and where to meet you! It feels like I haven't seen you in forever!

Hmmm it might have to be after you get back then... got stuff going on tonight, and Anja has gymnastics on Thursday. I've got no idea what's happening tomorrow, so that is a possibility.

Sooo possibly tomorrow, or it'll have to be after you get back. Going back for anything special, or just for the heck of it?

Tomorrow works for me... I'm not going home for any reason in particular. There is a wedding and a halloween party this weekend, but I'm not necessarily going for those. The main reason is to see Ronnie. I'm not sure how many more opportunities I'll have to see him and I don't want to miss any.

Okay, I'll let you know. I'm not making any solid plans just yet... still taking it day by day with William. :)

Yeah, I think that goodreads doesn't like me anymore... but that's okay because I have a HUGE list of books to read that I already own and want to read! :)

So I signed up to win several books on librarything.com. I signed up for less than 30 books total. I won one real book - Into the Path of Gods - and three or four ebooks. The ebooks are kind of neat - they are emailed in pdf form, so one can either read them on an ereader or straight from the computer.

www.bookdepository.com has 11,000 free downloadable books available. They're in PDF format when you load them!

As far as firstreads goes, I haven't won anything in a long time, but there's not a whole lot that I've signed up for either. The selection, while getting bigger, is not as good.

I haven't actually been to the site yet, though I'm going to visit there sometime.

Yeah, the thing about the goodreads giveaways is they are giving more titles away, but I don't sign up for a whole lot of them as I don't want to get stuck reading something that I don't think I'll be interested in. Have I told you that I wish I could go home and read Pillars of the Earth all day? I'm at about page 200.

There are soo many to sign up for and a lot of them seem to be romances. I go through them about once a month and sign up for a few, but honestly, there's not a whole lot that even sound that great. I've only ever won the one book.

It sounds good! I think you win more because you write more reviews than I do... I need to start writing reviews again. I was doing pretty good for a while, but have kind of been slacking lately.

Yeah, I try to write at least a line or two. I don't think that the review has to be good - it just matters that you have one. It is also supposedly important to keep that first-reads shelf, and tag your first-reads wins, as well as make sure to give them a review.

I'll give it to you to read once I'm done! Then you could review it and tag it... supposedly this is a good book, so I'm pretty excited!

Ohhh, I just got Take the Monkeys and Run! It's even signed by the author, which I think is pretty cool. I've read the first chapter, and am looking forward to reading more. I guess I'll just have to put off my challenges even more.... Haha! :)

I just thought I'd let you know that I'm enjoying Take the Monkeys and Run. It's funny and moves fast. :) I'm a bit over halfway through, but it moves fast, so I might even finish it tonight. :)
