Description:
Hekatiko Tarot: A deck inspired by the many forms of the goddess Hekate, both historical and modern.
Introducing the Hekatiko Tarot, a captivating Rider-Waite-Smith-based tarot deck featuring 78 cards inspired by the diverse forms of the goddess Hekate, both from historical and modern perspectives. This deck was created by me, Marcia, and beautifully illustrated by fellow Hekate devotee, Dylion.
The Major Arcana comprises 22 cards, with each card intricately connected to one of Hekate's epithets - representing unique qualities or attributes of the goddess. Additionally, each Major Arcana card is paired with one of Hekate's botanical correspondences, some rooted in history while others embracing contemporary symbolism.
The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards, organized into four suits: Cups, Pentacles, Swords, and Wands. Within the Hekatiko Tarot, the cards from Ace to Ten are artfully represented by Hekate's ancient Temple of Lagina in Asia Minor, her priesthood, as well as her sacred animals, colors, and symbols. The Court Cards are beautifully portrayed as beings (Pages), witches (Knights), goddesses (Queens), and gods (Kings), all connected to Hekate in their unique ways.
