Aesthetic Reading Corner discussion

I want to read it but I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews and opinions so I need help 😭😭

okay so i read the atlas six last year and i loved the aesthetic of the book and the intrigue and mystery of all the different character povs and intertwining relationships between them. i think that the series had great potential with a well thought-out magic system and world.

however, i just couldn’t get through some of the writing. because while the concept is great, for me at least, the execution was trying too hard. i read classics, but this writing felt like it was trying too hard to be difficult to read. and it wasn’t the pacing, or plot, or characters or anything, it was just the flow of the language being used.

just a tip that helped me: read it with the audiobook. i did this and got through it a lot quicker than i would have without it. the audiobook is immersive and has a different voice actor for each pov too.

for me, i ended up dnfing the atlas paradox. i would love to hear other people’s opinions on this? :)
