Been quiet in here, thought I'd drop in a friendly chat.

What's the best book you've read this year, and why did you love it?

I'll start,
I re-read the Chronicles of Prydain, having read them in the 80/90's as a teen. Came across a reprint of the whole set this year and am reading them with older eyes. And gosh I love this enthralling story. It builds a world in a magical land, while technically childrens stories they reach adults well.
