What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Here's the one solid detail I remember: there was one character, a teenage girl, who would only wear the colors red, black, and white. They made it a point to reference this every time they re-introduced the character in a new book. I don't remember the character's name, the series name/author, what the series was about, any of it. Just this one character's self-imposed color scheme. It would have been targeted at elementary/middle school girls, and it would have been sometime in the late 80s or early/mid-90s. It was about a group of female friends. It wasn't the Babysitters Club, but it was clearly targeted at that sort of audience.
