Did any of you predict that Matthew had schizophrenia before he was actually diagnosed?
Until reading this book I had a very uneducated view on the condition, thinking it's when a person has split personalities. This is clearly not the case.
I personally thought he had psychosis before his diagnosis.

From what I understand of schizophrenia it's generally always there but in most people that have it, the condition lies dormant until a trigger event causes the onset of symptoms, which in Matthew's case would have been his brother's death.
