Hobbies: spending quality time with my friends, eating yummy food with friends, watching Outlander with my flatmate, watching The Basement Yard, listening to house music, playing the sims, and I’m a chocolate addict.

Hi there I’m Janine. I’ve never been in a book club but always wanted to so when I saw the post on FB I though why not? I love reading fantasy and historical romance with a sprinkle of contemporary romance every now then. I’m very much a homebody so my hobbies are mostly reading, crafting as well as cooking up a storm in the kitchen :)

Hi I’m Lara and excited to be back into reading this year, it’s brought me so much joy. I’ve also been discovering my favourite genre which is historical romance though trying to also read more contemporaries. The latter which I’m more picky about.

Favourite author Mimi Matthews, favourite book by her a convenient fiction - Alex Archer has some cliches but is also unique at the same time. However my favourite overall series by her would have to be the work in progress belles of London series. The belle of Belgrave square was great, the heroine personally relatable and jasper the tall dark handsome broody type we all love, with a secret.

Currently reading the Merridew series as recommended by Adelie and book three is my favourite one.

Hobbies: gaming, spending time with friends, dancing and reading.

I saw the post about this book club on welly gals and knew I had to join! I got back into reading this year and started with A Court of Thorns and Roses…ended up reading all of SJM books within a couple of months. Clearly I love romantasy and also historical romance and true crime/thriller.
When I’m not reading, I’m usually at the gym or working on my nail business 💅

I mostly read Fantasy/Horrors but also am a big fan of Romance & all the sub genre's that come with it.

Something you should know is I am feral for an excellent Hades & Persephone retelling. I am a sucker for the intense spice level books with trigger warnings.
