I'm thinking if I read October's book now and then wait until the end of November to read the next one, maybe it will be enough distance to help me enjoy the old tropes once again.

Normally I love the discussion questions, but i feel like I'm repeating myself with this series. There are so many similarities in the last few books that I forget the main characters. I agree that there needs to be more time between reads for these to work.

If I treated this book as a standalone, I'd say it was had a great hero and heroine with a good story. I'd like a little more suspense in my romantic suspense stories, but this one was decent.
I do think it's the one a month that makes these books feel so similar although they really do all have close to the same formula. We could go to one every other month but I honestly don't think that would be enough time to change the feeling of repetitiveness. As Robin says, if we were caught up in the series & reading upon release, it would be a totally different thing. Unfortunately, with the passing of Garwood, they'll be no more releases.
