Another either/or prompt -- if the building is on the cover or in the title, it's fair game!

I have Wakenhyrst (gothic horror) by Michelle Paver, Where the Dead Walk (haunted house/paranormal) by John Bowen, Faces of Darkness (locked room mystery) by Steven McKay, and House of Salt and Shadows(fantasy) by Erin A. Craig. The first three have buildings on the cover.

The paper palace by Miranda Cowley heller was good. It also takes place partially in the 1970s

Am going to use this graphic novel I read today...

I read Silence in the Library by Katherine Schellman - 1/9/24. It has my favorite kind of building...a library.

I re-read Matilda -- the movie tie-in cover has a tiny picture of what I think is probably the school building. (I never saw the movie, so I'm making an educated guess.)

Shirley Jackson – We Have Always Lived in the Castle

But I could just as easily slot I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith into this one.
