What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I read a bood severalmyears ago. A homicide detective is recovering inthe hospital. Mhe starts looking into the rumors and legends about richard the third. Finds basicalky expense reports, records dating fromthe time period that support the conclusion that Richard did not murder his nephews and burry them in a tower. It was i believe a non fiction book

The Daughter of Time? A fiction, I think, but I liked it at the time and thought it's worth suggesting.

The Daughter of Time came to mind as well. I've been meaning to read this book for ages.

I would third The Daughter of Time; the main character, Alan Grant, is a Scotland Yard detective who is in hospital, and bored. A friend suggests he should look into historial mysteries, rather than current ones (as he is signed off duty while ill) to amuse himself.

It's fiction - and very much of its period - but could, potentially, read like nonfiction.
