Here's one:
Left Over Chinese
We found them in the bedroom closet after the reception. They had tiny little hands, feet and fingers. There were three of them, apparently a mother, father, and child. They didn’t speak a word of English, but we decided to keep them anyway. They were never very active, but after a few months they slowed even more, breathing more shallowly, hardly blinking and their skin stiffened, hardened becoming more like wax or plastic until finally they solidified completely into the most life-like figures you have ever seen. After that we moved them into the dining room to accompany our meals.
