i genuinely thought it was just gonna be a super cute romance (idk why i thought that with the title) and i also thought it was so predictable i DID NOT expect the last ten pages they broke me.

i gave it 5 stars which i feel is super generous considering 98% of the book kind of bored me but the ending was just so unexpectedly good and heartbreaking UGH

i mostly agree with what your saying. but for me the beginning of the book just made me connect with finny and autumn, and had me rooting for them. and i think thats what makes the book so devastating. bc if you told someone this whole plot they woudl be liek oh thats sad, but they wouldnt have yhe same reaction that we are having. But thats my personal opinion! and i can absolutely understand why some people might not enjoy it.
