caitlin; Long dark hair falling carelessly into her bright eyes, Jada smiled at the camera she had set up. She couldn't wait to start filming with Leslie. She should be getting there soon. Jada walked over to her mirror, wiping her eyes without thinking. She groaned as her mascara smudged, cursing quietly under her breath.

Grabbing her makeup remover wipes, Jada cleaned her face quickly and reapplied her foundation over the small black mark. She powdered it and then sighed, hoping she looked alright. She would ask Leslie; Leslie would tell her the truth. She got her black eyeliner pencil and touched up her perfect winged eyeliner then sighed, looking around her room. She grabbed her iPod and turned on 'One' by Ed Sheeran, turning the volume right up. She relaxed on her bed and waited for Leslie to arrive.

Leslie was known for being very good at driving, but she got behind a very slow older lady, and she was running very late. She was suppose to be in the middle of a video by then, but Leslie didn't want to be rude, so she just trailed behind the ladies Porsche.

Eventually the lady turned onto a side road, leading to a few mansions, and Leslie floored it. Her long waves of brown hair flew behind her in the wind, and she quickly did a sharp turn into one of her friends mansions driveway. She stepped out of her car and picked up her purse. She was wearing red high heels and it was slightly hard to walk, but she managed to gracefully get to the front door of her close friends mansion. Instead of knocking she pulled out her phone and texted Jada, telling her to let her in, for she knew that if she knocked it would start up the neighbors dogs.

caitlin; Jada was now lying on her bed, humming along to 'Uptown Funk'. She loved that song. It was so catchy and great for dancing. Suddenly, the song was drowned out by a very loud buzzing noise which lasted for a few seconds before stopping, meaning the song was now audible again. Jada had her notification and message buzzer so loud because she never used to hear it over her music. Jada grabbed her phone from her bedside table and unlocked it when she saw Leslie's name come up. She grinned when the text told her that her friend was here. She hauled herself up off her bed and walked downstairs to the door. Her parents weren't home, thankfully. They almost always interrupted her when she was trying to film. Jada opened the door and smiled brightly at Leslie. "Hey Leslie," Jada greeted her friend happily, walking away from the door when it was open. She just assumed her friend would shut the door after her. "Want a drink for the video?" Jada asked, walking to the large kitchen so she could pour herself and possibly Leslie a drink. She knew where her parents kept their alcohol but she didn't like taking any. Jada was sure that they weighed the bottles when they came home after she was in the mansion by herself.

"Please don't tell me your parents are home," Leslie said as she closed the large door behind her. "Oh, and also, do you have any candy? My mom is on a health kick, and you know how it gets."

Before Jada could answer, Leslie continued speaking. As she spoke she poured herself a water, even though she wanted to get out the makings for a Shirley Temple, but that would be too much work.

"My brother wouldn't shut up this morning. He was downstairs talking to his friend on the phone, which woke me up, and when I went downstairs and said some mean stuff, he put on his headphones and talked louder. Then he went into his room to make a video for his channel, and he invited over the neighbor to do a swimming video, and I was telling him it was too cold, but he wouldn't listen," she complained. "Also, did you like my Instagram picture yet?"

message 6: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada nodded excitedly when Leslie asked if they had any candy. She was the only kid in the house so they didn't have loads but Jada loved to eat candy. She had such high metabolism that it didn't do anything to her but she did exercise too. She stood on her tiptoes to reach the top shelf where she knew her Dad kept his chocolates hidden from her and her Mum. They were really posh so they could only take a few at a time or her Dad would notice. She grabbed a cherry flavoured one for herself and milk chocolate for Leslie.

She grabbed two white plates with a golden trim along the edges, putting the choclates in the middle. Next, she got some skittles and delicately placed them in a circle around the chocolate. Afterwards she got some choclate drops and sprinkled them across the plate before pulling back to admire her work. All through this she had been listening to Leslie's rant, nodding in an understanding way.

When she had finished, she turned and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry your brother is such a pain," Jada promised sweetly. She grabbed the plate off the kitchen bench and presented it to Leslie with a big smile. "Candy and chocolate makes it better!" Jada exclaimed childishly with a big smile.

When Leslie asked if she'd liked her Instagram picture, Jada furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. She pulled out her phone and checked her feed, swiping down until she came to Leslie's latest picture. Jada looked up and nodded approvingly and then liked the picture. "Sorry, I didn't check Instagram this morning; I haven't been on all day," Jada apologised truthfully. "Let's take a selfie so everyone knows we are filming together!" Jada suggested excitedly, already pulling the camera up.

Though Leslie was listening to her friend, her mind was set on something else. Her phone had vibrated and unfortunately she had looked at it.

" I hate the ugly stupid brat!" Leslie nearly screamed as she stuffed some candy in her mouth. "You know that wannabe Cora that acts like she is a queen? Well she just commented this on my picture 'When you die the world will get prettier, not even kidding. You are so ugly!'"

Leslie didn't like that girl, not at all. Everyone knew that Leslie was prettier than Cora, and she was just jealous.

"Oh, she just pushed me over my limit. I'd like to see the look on her face when I let everyone know about her fan fictions about being that One Direction freaks girlfriend."

A few months before she had been sitting at the park, playing soccer with Jada, and she had seen Cora writing up something. Leslie didn't care, but when she passed behind her, she saw what it was. She convinced Jada to distract Cora from her typing, while she sent it to herself from Cora's laptop. Since then the horribly written disgusting fan fictions had been sitting on Leslie's laptop.

"Should I send it to everyone, Jada? I should, right?" She asked.

message 8: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; At Leslie's angry words about what Cora had done, Jada gasped and covered her mouth. That was so horrible! How could Cora say those things to Leslie, to anyone? They weren't true and they were so horrible and catty. Jada clicked off the photo part of Instagram and clicked onto the comment section of Leslie's picture. "@corais_queen I can't believe you would say such horrible things about Leslie. You know, it's a shame that amazing people like her have to deal with witches like you," Jada read out loud as she commented and then clicked the send button. She sent a warm smile towards Leslie. "Don't worry about her, babe," Jada told her kindly. "She's just jealous."

When Leslie asked if she should share the fanfictions that Cora wrote, Jada sighed and bit her lip. She didn't really like the fact that Leslie spread such horrible things about people but her and Leslie were tight. She didn't want to upset Leslie since she could spread horrible stuff about her but she also didn't want others to get hurt. "If you send that, you don't have anything on her," Jada explained slowly. "Maybe you should let her know that you have them and then she can't upset you anymore as she knows you could tell," Jada offered, wondering if Leslie would understand what she meant. She thought that was a better idea than just sending the fanfictions out.

"You're right! I'll text her right now and remind her about our little secret, or more the secret I know," Leslie agreed, as she got out of Instagram and went into her messages. "Tell me if this is good: 'Cora, you seem to quickly forget things, but slowly gain knowledge. Should I remind you what I can do with a click of a button? I have your disgusting writing, remember? Maybe others could see it, too. Now, either you say that you were just jealous of how beautiful I am, or everyone knows about it.'"

Before Jada could give her opinion, Leslie clicked send, and waited for a reply. She sat in silence, eating candy, and then her phone vibrated again.

"Look what Cora said about my picture now. I think thats better," Leslie happily said, but then turned slightly serious. "And that's how you fix a problem, hon. You are so lucky, Jada. You learn from the leader, not from the followers. To think you could have been like Cora, but you aren't. You're my friend, and I ensure your reputation isn't hurt. I think you might just be the only one that is thankful for me. That's why you're my favorite friend. But don't tell the others."

message 10: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada opened her mouth to approve of what Leslie had said when Leslie sent it anyway. Jada frowned but her face straightened out quickly. She ate a couple of skittles, watching Leslie closely. When Leslie said to look at what Cora had said on her picture now, Jada pulled up her hpone and clicked onto the picture comments. Yeah, I guess your right @jadalovinglife_ Leslie is amazing. I'm just jealous. I'm sorry, the comment read.

"She used the wrong 'your'," Jada remarked cattily and then she glanced up at Leslie as she turned serious and began to talk again.

When Leslie said what she did, Jada smiled fondly. She and Leslie had been friends for ages. She had always hoped that Leslie had really liked her rather than just wanted to know her secrets.

"Your secrets safe with me," Jada promised with a little wink. "Now, come on upstairs. Would you be okay doing the best friend tag with me?" Jada asked hesitantly. She didn't want Leslie to scorn her idea for a video.

"I don't really care what we do, as long as we get a bunch of views like the last video. Oh, did you get anything on my new neighbors yet?" Leslie asked.

She and Jada then trailed down the hallway, into Jada's bedroom. They chatted on the way up the stairs, and Leslie thought of a good idea for the video.

"Do you want to do a challenge today? Or maybe we could do something about fashion, or a competition? Oh, I know! How about a fashion competition, and then we let people vote in the comments?"

Leslie liked competitions, because she always won. People usually voted for her, because either they were afraid of her, or they wanted a seat at her table.

"How about a season theme? Four rounds, one final winner? And at the end we give tips on fashion?" Leslie suggested.

message 12: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada grinned as she remembered how many views the last video they had done had gotten. There had been loads of likes and comments too, most of which were praise. All of the people who supported her channel shut down most of the haters quickly which was really sweet of them. Jada loved all of her subscribers; they were so sweet.

At Leslie's question about her neighbours, Jada's grin got slightly devilish. "Yeah, I went round to their place and they seem pretty sweet. The brother's really hot," Jada remarked, licking her lips at the thought before getting back on topic. "The guy is a swimming champ but I heard him arguing with his parent's about how he didn't want to swim anymore. They sounded quite heated and, when he came back in, he looked quite upset," Jada confided, voice sympathetic. "Don't worry, I was very sympathetic," Jada remarked with a slight wink to show what she meant. The guy had been a very good kisser but a bit too touchy-feely. After all, Jada wasn't a prude but it was only their first meeting. She wasn't going to be easy or anything.

When they got to their bedroom, Jada walked over to her iPod and put on 'Love Me Like You Do' by Ellie Goulding then turned the volume so it was almost full. She turned back to Leslie as she started to explain her fashion idea. Jada listened silently until she was finished explaining the idea.

"Hm... sounds good but I'm just checking one thing. Would we make a summer, autumn, winter and spring outfit each then, in the comments, they would choose which they liked best of each outfits for each person?" Jada asked in a slightly confused tone. She mostly got the idea but there was just a few things that she needed to check.

"Whatever you want to do is fine with me. Let me go do my hair and I'll be right back," Leslie requested as she sprinted into Jada's bathroom.

Leslie fished around in her pursue until she found her hair supplies, which she carried everywhere. Usually she had hairspray, non-friz spray, etc, but she knew that Jada would have everything she needed.

"Where do you keep your nail polish?" She called, as she opened the door, her hair now looking perfect.

She had put on a bit more makeup, but not too much. She managed to always find a way to go over the top, without making it look unappealing. When she walked out of the bathroom, she went directly into Jada's closet, on a hunt for a different pair of heels. Jada and her were about the same shoe size, so anything could do, as long as it matched her outfit.

message 14: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin;
Jada nodded as Leslie went running into the bathroom. Jada knew she would want to look perfect for the video. Jada, on the other hand, did not care as much about looking perfect for her videos. She preferred to look a little bit messy because it played up the 'I'm just a normal girl who films in her bedroom' act. Which, she partly was. The only difference was that Jada Current was anything but normal.

When Leslie opened the door and asked where she kept her nail polish, Jada smiled slightly and walked over to her dressing table, pulling open two of the drawers. Each of them were full to the brim of neatly organized nail polish, sorted by colour. "Help yourself," Jada called as Leslie rummaged for some shoes in her closet.

"If you want the red kitten heels, they are under my bed with the black stilettos," Jada told her helpfully. She turned back to the mirror and checked herself out, turning to the side to see her almost flat stomach through her top.

"Do you think I need to diet?" Jada asked, biting her lip nervously. If she got too big then the boy's might not want her anymore. Jada couldn't have that!

"Two pounds will make you look perfect. Go on an all liquid diet for a week, and see what it does," Leslie suggested as she slowly picked her expensive shoes, a pair of black leather Jimmy Choo heels.

"Maybe I'll go on the diet, too. Not that I need to, but just to get my doctor mad." She said with a grin.

She strode over to the dresser and glanced at all the nail polish options.

"I think I'll go with the copper nail polish, Jada. You should wear the peach," she advised, as she threw the bottle of peach to Jada, and pulled out the copper for herself.

message 16: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin;
Jada was glad that she had asked Leslie about whether she should diet or not. She was always truthful but she worded it in a way that made it not hurt. She pushed the candy away from herself, not wanting to eat anymore calories. She smiled at Leslie gratefully.

Jada chuckled when Leslie said that she would go on a diet to get her doctor mad. "Honestly, Leslie, you're a liability," Jada remarked, shaking her head. She wasn't being serious though; she was just joking on.

Jada deftly caught the peach nail polish and opened it carefully. She began to apply it to her right hand first, since she was left-handed. She was very careful and non of it went onto her finger on each side of her nails.

"So, any new boys you've met up with?" Jada asked with interest. She loved to chat about boys with Leslie since it was so fun! Jada found it fun to discuss boy's kissing skills.

"No, I'm to good for all those stupid pigs," Leslie said flatly. Two weeks ago, she had seen a girl that was one grade below her, kissing her one and only crush, but Leslie didn't want to talk about that. She wanted everyone to have to earn her love and care. "How about you? I thought I heard someone say you started dating someone or something like that. But I knew it was just a rumor, right? I mean, if it isn't that is fine."

The truth was, the thought of anyone dating Jada made her sick. She wanted to be the only one Jada could come to when she had a problem, not one of those gross boys that wanted to climb the wall of popularity by becoming one of the most popular girls boyfriend.

message 18: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada's lips curled into an amused smile when Leslie said she was too good for all the stupid pigs (boys). Jada was really the boy-crazy one. However, Jada kind of noticed Leslie's flat tone and wondered if she was telling the truth. Somehow, Jada realised that Leslie didn't want to talk about whatever her problem was, so she allowed the subject to be changed. She didn't want Leslie to get all upset. When Leslie asked if she was dating someone but she thought it wasn't true, Jada let out a musical laugh. Her? Dating someone? She would never be tied down like that!

"No way, Leslie!" Jada exclaimed with a giggle. "I'm not tying myself down to any of the snotty boys in our school," Jada snorted slightly, examining her nails that she had just painted. They were so neat, like always. "I mean, I've snogged a couple, but not as many as usual. I'm running out of guys, Leslie," Jada joked, chuckling softly. "Loads of them are getting angry at me because I won't put out. They don't get that I want to lose it to someone special. They-" Jada cut off and looked down at her lap, blinking away tears. "They say that I'm such a slut that I shouldn't care about my virginity because it's nothing special," Jada admitted, voice thick and eyes shining with tears that she wouldn't let fall. Ever.

Leslie hated seeing Jada upset, especially about untrue rumors. Whoever said that, would pay. No one ever messed with her friend.

"Now, Jada, who said that?" She said in a calm tone, with a small smile, trying to make her feel better.

Leslie then started to paint her nails, too. She felt angry, angry at whoever hurt Jada. Angry at the stupid pigs that made her feel like she wasn't special. Anyone that was Leslie's friend was special, and if anyone wanted to doubt that, thing would go downhill for them.

message 20: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada sniffed and she looked up to make sure the tears didn't fall down her cheeks. She knew it was impossible to cry when you were looking up. When Leslie asked who said what they did about her, Jada took a deep breath and bit her lip, eyes turning down to look at Leslie.

"Well, um... Maxwell Yuhn," Jada whispered in a quiet voice, blushing. Maxwell was the most popular boy in the school and the only boy Jada had actually truly wanted to date.

They had been flirting for a while at school and, at a party, they had started snogging each other. They had gone upstairs to be somewhere private. They both got down to making out in their underwear, but when Maxwell tried to unhook her bra, Jada panicked and said she couldn't sleep with him. Maxwell had been really offended and said horrible things to her, called her a slut and tease. He said she didn't deserve to be so pretty or to have any guys fancying her. He called her horrible names. Then, he told all his friends to call her a slut and try to get Jada to sleep with them. Jada had ran from home from the party and hadn't told a soul about it.

"Oh, he is just teasing, Jada. He does that with everyone. Don't get worked up about it," Leslie said with a giggle. "I dated him for like a week. Then I dumped him. He seemed kind of upset about it and claimed I'd made a mistake. I still remember his exact words, 'I'll get you back for this, Leslie, but you won't even realize it.' It was probably a joke, since it is like five months later and nothing has happened. He actually texted me like last week, asking me to go to that carnival thing with him. Do you think I should?"

Secretly, Leslie still liked Maxwell, and always hated herself for breaking up with him. Everyone loved him, he was popular, and he was handsome. Everyone loved her, she was popular, and she was beautiful. They were a perfect match.

message 22: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada stared at Leslie incredulously when she said he did that that to everyone. She had thought her friend would understand, but she was just like everyone else. Oh, just say whatever she was about Jada, she doesn't care. She's just a slut, a girl who messes around. No one cared about her, as a person. Then Leslie turned it so it was all about her again! How could she be so inconsiderate? She could tell that Jada was really upset about this, but now that she knew it was Maxwell, she didn't care one bit. At her words if she should go out with him, Jada just looked at her, as if she had no idea who Leslie was.

"You don't care about me, do you?" Jada asked in a slow, suddenly understanding voice. "You don't care if I'm getting hurt, as long as I will mess around with you. You don't care how upset I am. It's all about you, Leslie. And I can't even yell at you because you know everything about me. You can ruin me with one tweet."

message 23: by Δ|вσω (new)

"You are completely right, darling, but do you really think saying this makes anything different. I could stop all the mean names, if you wanted me to. You don't have any idea what I know. I have some real good dirt on you," Leslie said in a calm voice as if she didn't even care. "By the way, I know about what happened. I was at the party, too. I followed you. I'm creepy like that. Do you ever wonder how that made me feel? You, with my ex-boyfriend. I guess not. It's always about Jada. How everyone calls you names. I haven't told the other girls, but maybe I will."

By then her voice was a bit louder. Before Jada could say anything, her phone went off. Maxwell was calling her. She allowed Jada to see his name on her screen, then hovered her finger over decline.

"Friends don't betray each other, Jada. I was mad at you, but I didn't say anything. I'm starting to think two wrongs make a right," Leslie said. "I'm going to answer this, Jada, but I won't go with him to the carnival unless you want me to."

message 24: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada stared at Leslie, mouth wide and gaping. Leslie had followed her? How dare she! And then, when she said that she felt mad about Jada being with her ex, Jada wanted to scream. She had always liked Maxwell! But then Leslie had wanted him and Jada didn't tell her. Now Leslie didn't even realise that she had been the one who had betrayed Jada first. Leslie was turning all of this onto her and it wasn't fair, not at all.

When Leslie asked whether she was okay with Leslie going to the carnival with Maxwell, Jada nodded ever so slightly and managed a small smile. "I'm sorry for what I did, Leslie. I shouldn't have kissed him or anything like that. It's just... I've always liked him forever. I shouldn't have betrayed your trust because of my feelings," Jada apologised quietly. She felt like Leslie wouldn't forgive her, but she couldn't help trying. She hated fighting.

"It's okay, as long as you aren't mad at me. Now, how 'bout we finish that video then go have some cupcakes at the Bakery on the Block? I hear they came out with a new flavor last week, Jada. We should try it," Leslie commented quickly as she clicked accept.

Leslie stood up and went into the hallway, so she was far away from Jada, but so her friend could still hear her conversation.

"Maxwell? I haven't heard your voice in forever," she said. "Oh, about the carnival thing, I might not go, but if I do, I'll call you." Then Maxwell started some small talk, but suddenly said that he missed her. "Really? That's kinda sweet, actually. You know what, I'll go with you. See you later."

message 26: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada nodded to agree with Leslie's idea and to say she wasn't mad. Maybe it was a good thing, what happened. She certainly didn't like Maxwell anymore, which was a good thing. Now, she was more worried that Maxwell would hurt Leslie. He wasn't the Golden Boy that everyone thought he was.

Jada couldn't help overhearing Leslie's conversation. How come boys all liked her and then they all hated Jada. A few tears escaped down her cheeks but she wiped them away quickly. She began to paint her other hand as she waited for Leslie to come back inside, no doubt going on about how amazing Maxwell was.

When Leslie hung up the phone and skipped back inside.

"We need to go shopping! Like right now. We can do the video on how to annoy the dress shops employees. By the way, I can get you a date if you want one. I'm going with Maxwell, so maybe you could go with one of his friends. Finish painting your nails, I'll go start my car," Leslie said. "I need a new outfit for the carnival, a fancy outfit for a future date with Maxwell, and another summer dress just because."

message 28: by caitlin; (new)

caitlin; Jada smiled at Leslie when she came back in and her eyes lit up when she mentioned shopping. Jada loved shopping! Jada blew on her nails to dry them sooner. They were pretty much dry. She grabbed a big coat and pulled it on. "Come on, Leslie," Jada exclaimed happily. Shopping made it all feel better.

Leslie laughed at Jada's reaction to her suggestion of going shopping. She slipped her friends heels off, and put hers back on. Before leaving she looked in Jada's full length mirror. She quickly smeared on some expensive lip gloss and grabbed her purse. As she ran down the hallway with Jada she got a text, but decided to check it later.

"Do you have everything you need? Camera, phone, purse, emergency make-up kit, change pair of clothing in case anything goes wrong?" Leslie asked, not really wanting an answer. She already had all of those things in her glove box, so she never worried.

The two girls headed out the front door, and walked to Leslie's car. It slowly began to drizzle, so Leslie clicked a button and the roof to her convertible went up.

caitlin; ((can you post first in the place they are going to? just because I can't see the characters on my device))

Jada nodded to answer Leslie's question before they left; she was always prepared. She had to be because who knew what could happen when they were shopping. There could be an emergency!

Jada was annoyed that it was drizzling when they left because they couldn't have the roof open. Oh well, no matter. Jada turned the music right the way up and relaxed into her seat, waiting excitedly for their shopping experience.
