Nonfiction November discussion

Why don't we have a Discord group for this too? I don't do ticktock and have no clue how and I don't do facebook or twitter. I had tried Twitter but kept getting blocked out of the account and my password wouldn't work and all that so I just would rather stick with things that are solid like GoodReads and Discord and watching Booktube.

I am happy with Goodreads. I tried Discord last month and didn't care for it much.

I use Discord on a daily basis, it's a nice way to interact as a community! Would be a nice addition, but maybe a lot of work for Olive to keep up with another platform

Yeah, I didn't like Discord at first either.

And yeah, its a lot to have a lot off different media things. This is why I don't got facebook or twitter or anything else its just a hassle and I spend too much time online as it is. Plus Facebook and twitter confuse me and I don't really get the point of what it is good for. Same with instagram, I did have an instagram a few years ago or whenever it was and I just didn't need it or understand how it was supposed to help me or whatever. I guess I am not a social media fiend, lol.

if think if you were maybe willing to set up and run it - that might be an option - but between the other 5 social media platforms - its kind of busy already for folks

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I thought she had help with the different things. I know nothing about Discord enough to moderate it so I can't do it but hey, if not this year then if there is enough interest we might could get someone to set up a Discord for this group next year.

pretty much everything is volunteers - there are 2-3 main folks who run the show - but they do the twitter, facebook etc. i think the current mods came out of this group (maybe)

I've contemplated starting a Discord for NFN, but there's already so much I juggle during the month that I don't have the bandwidth to moderate one. But if we had some volunteers step forward to help run it, I could be convinced!
