Linzi Meldrum | 16 comments I read I’m Glad My Mom Died, and I absolutely LOVED it!

Ariana (petuniarhubarb) I read Letters To My Weird Sisters: On Autism and Feminism. It was a sloooow read—I thought the writing was rough. But the content was great! Lots of food-for-thought

Word: SILVER

I read The Darling Dahlias and the Silver Dollar Bush by Susan Wittig Albert.
This is the 5th in the series and it just keeps going with it being just as good as the 1st.

Well, this was pretty dang awful. The stories were only very loosely related to Christmas. Admittedly, I’m really not much of a contemporary romance reader, but I’m usually able to tolerate it when it comes to holiday romances. This just wasn’t it for me, but I’m kind of glad to have read it, because this author has popped up on my radar a few times, and now I know to steer away from her.

Jenny | 48 comments I read Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand for this challenge. I enjoyed it as much as her other books that I've read. Nantucket sounds dreamy.

Cheryl (cc31419) | 21 comments I chose My and read My Ex-Mas Emergency by Jennifer Peel. It was cute like all of her stories although it felt rushed.

message 8: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Kropitis | 30 comments I read the Christmas wish bounce it was cute, but pretty boring

Key word: Wish (wishes)
Read Christmas Wishes: An Irish Tradition by J.L. Lawrence. It met both challenges this month plus a Christmas books challenge I was participating in.

message 10: by Emily (new)

Emily Floyd | 33 comments I read a book that's been on my to-read list for a while: Hometown Appetites: The Story of Clementine Paddleford, the Forgotten Food Writer Who Chronicled How America Ate. I actually heard about this book on the Office Ladies podcast and am so embarrassed I didn't know about Clementine Paddleford before that as a fellow Kansan! It was a great book and I feel like I know so much more about the beginning of food journalism in the US.

Shaneika | 22 comments I chose key word WISH. I read Be Careful What You Wish For by R.L. Stine. It was a quick read that reminded me of my love for these childhood scary stories.
