This was a quick reread for me. Probably the highlight is the interesting magic system. I am particularly fond of "ordinary" magic that can be used powerfully by creative applications. (This is also what I like about A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking.)The characters are fleshed out but interesting. I am likely yo reread the whole series now and catch up on the 4th book which wasn't part of the orginal trilogy.
